    Abstract: A hammer tacker includes an outer housing comprising a handle portion and a head portion, the outer housing formed from a fiber reinforced polymer material. The hammer tacker also includes an elongated staple holder carried at least partially within the outer housing, the elongated staple holder being slideable between a use position and a refill position. The outer housing having the fiber reinforced polymer material defines a channel extending through the handle portion and into the head portion, the channel configured to receive the staple holder. The staple holder is slidable along the channel of the outer housing between the use position and the refill position. The hammer tacker further includes a staple driver assembly operable to drive a staple from the staple holder into a workpiece.

    Abstract: An electric motor is provided including: a stator, an armature rotatably received within the stator and having an armature shaft on which a commutator is mounted, and a brush assembly. The brush assembly defines a first side facing the stator and a second side. The brush assembly includes a brush card mount having openings, brushes in sliding contact with the commutator, and thermally-conductive brush holders that support the brushes. Each brush holder includes a base piece disposed between the first side of the brush assembly and the stator, and a main piece including a brush-holder portion and two side flat portions. The brush-holder portion is axially received through a brush card mount opening from the first side of the brush assembly and protrude over the second side to house a brush. The two side flat portions are axially sandwiched between the base piece and the brush card mount.

The motor further includes at least one rotor bearing mounted on the rotor shaft, and at least one bearing support member supporting the rotor bearing. The bearing support member includes a radial body forming a bearing pocket for receiving the rotor bearing therein, and axial post inserts received within the slots of the stator assembly between adjacent sets of windings and in contact with an inner curved surface of the stator body to support the rotor bearing with respect to the stator assembly along a center axis of the center bore.

    Abstract: Frangible connectors can extend between and can alone couple adjacent insulator bodies together. The insulator bodies can also include counteracting frangible connectors that can be spaced from and coupled solely to a single one of the plurality of insulator bodies. The counteracting frangible connectors provide a counteracting shearing operation, which can help counteract the counterclockwise rotational movement that the frangible connectors tend to impart as they are sheared. The insulator bodies can be mounted on staples. The insulator bodies can have an upper bridge profile and the staples can have a lower crown profile opposing the upper bridge profile. The lower crown profile and the upper bridge profile can have opposite end portions that engage each other and can have central portions that are simultaneously spaced from each other to provide a central space between corresponding central portions of the insulator bridge and the staple crown.

The cutting edge has a plurality of teeth arranged in a pattern that includes left and right set teeth. A plurality of gullets is disposed between adjacent teeth. Each of the teeth and the gullets has substantially the same size, except that the first and third consecutive teeth immediately adjacent the plunging end have been flattened to be unset, and at least a portion of the second consecutive tooth has been removed to form an enlarged gullet between the first and third teeth.
