Abstract: In some examples, a vehicle receives authorization information that identifies an automotive service to be performed on the vehicle, the authorization information further indicating approval of performance of the automotive service on the vehicle by an operator of the vehicle and a vehicle manufacturer. Based on the authorization information, the vehicle enables access of an electronic component of the vehicle by an authorized repair entity to perform the automotive service.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and system for managing a meeting session. In accordance with one example, there is provided a method of managing a meeting session on a server that manages the meeting session, the meeting session comprising one or more participant devices and a presenter device. The method comprises receiving one or more break request messages from the participant devices, and sending a break message to the participant devices, the break message causing a break notification to be displayed on a display of the participant devices.

Abstract: An improved handheld electronic device and an associated method provide an improved call log that presents information relating to logged phone calls in a collapsed manner, meaning that for each phone number having a call stored in the memory of the device, only the most recent in time call is listed on the call log. An improved handheld electronic device and an associated method also provide a call history for any phone call from the improved call log that is selected by the user. The call history includes a listing of all of the calls stored by the device that are associated with the selected call log call.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and software can be used to determine security risks in binary software using a software relationship model. In some aspects, a method comprises: receiving a software relationship model that identifies: (i) a set of software components, and (ii) communication interfaces between software components in the set of software components; receiving a set of binary software code; generating a risk assessment for the set of binary software code based on the software relationship model; and generating a notification, based on the risk assessment for the set of binary software code, that indicates security risks associated with the set of binary software code.

Abstract: Methods and devices are provided for determining a service associated with an unclassified traffic flow in a computer network. Classification information for a plurality of classified traffic flows in the computer network are obtained that indicate an association between each of the classified flows and a service. A primary cluster analysis is performed on the plurality of classified flows and the unclassified flow to associate the unclassified flow to a group of classified flows having a common service. The association between the unclassified flow and the common service is provided to a network security management system.

Abstract: Provided are a method for a terminal transmitting uplink control information (UCI)through a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) in a wireless communication system, and a terminal using the method. A transmission power to be applied to the uplink control channel is determined on the basis of a value subordinate to a PUCCH format, and at least one type of UCI is transmitted from the physical uplink control channel by using the transmission power that is determined, wherein when the PUCCH format is PUCCH format 3, and the at least one type of UCI includes acknowledgement/negative-acknowledgement(ACK/NACK) and periodic channel state information (CSI), the value subordinate to the PUCCH format is determined on the basis of the number of bits of the ACK/NACK and the number of bits of the periodic CSI.

Abstract: Data is scrambled at a transmitter according to one of a number of predetermined scrambling sequences which are associated with a particular one of a number of predetermined transmit antenna diversity schemes (i.e., a specific number of transmit antenna ports). Received data is decoded using one or more of the known transmit antenna diversity schemes and the scrambled data is descrambled according to a corresponding descrambling sequence (related to the scrambling sequence). Based on the descrambled data, the receiver determines which transmit antenna diversity scheme (i.e., the number of antenna ports) is used by the transmitter. In one specific embodiment, CRC parity data is scrambled in the transmitter and the receiver descrambles the recovered CRC parity data according to a descrambling sequence, computes CRC parity data from the received data, and compares the descrambled CRC parity data to the newly computed CRC parity data.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for previewing new events in a computing device having a plurality of applications for managing respective events are described. Individual applications are each represented by an application icon on a screen of a graphical user interface for the device. In response to a new event of a one of the applications, the application's icon is visually modified to notify of the new event. A visual modification may be determined in response to the new event, for example, to preview a content of the event. The visual modification may include a count of all new events that remain to be disposed. On a selection of the visually modified icon, additional previewing may be provided. Activation of the application having a visually modified application icon may be configured to automatically initiate the application at the new event.

Abstract: A method of establishing a secure communication channel between a first communication device and a second communication device. The secure communication channel is defined by one or more algorithm options and the one or more algorithm options are associated with one of one or more option categories. The method includes receiving a signal representing one or more selections. The method further includes, for the respective option categories, generating a sorted list of algorithm options based on the received selections and generating a security association proposal including one or more of the algorithm options from the respective sorted lists of algorithm options. The security association proposal is generated based on an order in the sorted list of algorithm options. The method further includes transmitting the security association proposal to the second communication device for establishing the secure communication channel.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for representing a conversation of related messages is provided. In a message collection user interface for displaying messages sent and received by a communications device, a dynamic session placeholder is used for a respective conversation of related messages. The message collection user interface is displayed including any dynamic session placeholders in the list of messages. As messages from the conversation are occasioned, the dynamic session placeholder is updated. When the message collection is displayed, it is displayed in accordance with the updated session placeholder.
