Abstract: A perishable goods monitoring system monitors the freshness or condition of a perishable product encapsulated within a package. The system includes a processing module with a machine learning algorithm. The processing module receives sensor data related to the condition of a perishable good from at least one sensor device incorporated in or on the package encapsulating the perishable good. The processing module provides the sensor data to the machine learning algorithm and determine, using the machine learning algorithm, data representative of freshness or condition of the perishable good. The processing module outputs the data representative of freshness or condition of a perishable good.
