Abstract: Handle attachment for a hollow accessory sheet-metal handle on dishes. A support bar is provided which is fastened to the dish and has a locking recess into which extends a spring fastened in the interior of the handle, particularly during a moving of the handle onto the support bar to thereby effect a holding of the handle pressed against the wall of the dish alone through the spring tension. A one-piece constructed guide and spring element is provided for receiving the support bar and is inserted into the interior of the hollow metal handle for receiving the support bar.

Abstract: A button for a utensil lid includes a blocking member disposed against the lid and a handle part supported on the blocking member. A fastening element extends through the lid, holds the handle part and blocking member in place, and has passageways which provide communication from a chamber in the blocking member to the opposite side of the lid. The blocking element has openings providing communication between the chamber and the region outside the blocking member. A collar encircles the blocking member and is supported for limited rotation thereon, the openings in the blocking member being obstructed and free from obstruction when the collar is respectively in first and second positions relative to the blocking member.

Abstract: A steam pressure cooking apparatus includes a connectible pot and lid with respective radially projecting handles thereon, the lid handle lying above the pot handle when the pot and lid are interconnected. A pressure discharge valve is provided in the lid and is controlled by a cam surface on a knob rotatably supported on the lid handle. A cam plate rotated by the knob has a further cam surface thereon which controls a spring-biased locking slide supported on the lid handle and engageable with a cam on the pot handle to prevent relative movement of the handles.

Abstract: A handle apparatus for a utensil includes a supporting bracket secured to a wall of the utensil and having two spaced side walls approximately normal to the utensil wall. A handle has a recess of generally rectangular cross-sectional shape in which the bracket is received, the bracket side walls being adjacent and parallel to side surfaces of the recess. The recess top and bottom surfaces each have two grooves respectively adjacent the recess side surfaces, and each bracket side wall has two lugs on opposite edges thereof which are slidably disposed in respective said grooves. A retaining mechanism in the handle recess cooperates with the bracket to releasably secure the handle to the utensil.

Abstract: A handle apparatus for a utensil includes a supporting bracket secured to a wall of the utensil and having a leg projecting away from the utensil, a handle having a recess therein for receiving the leg, and a retaining mechanism disposed in the handle recess and cooperable with the leg for releasably securing the handle on the utensil. The leg includes spaced first and second portions which project outwardly from the utensil well, a third portion extending between the outer ends of the first and second portions, and fourth and fifth portions respectively provided at the inner ends of the first and second portions and secured to the utensil wall. The first and second portions converge away from the utensil wall and the third portion is approximately parallel to the utensil wall, so that the leg is of generally trapezoidal shape.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for drawing a wrinkle-free thin-walled cup from a sheet blank, using a die formed as a draw ring, a holddown that holds the blank material against the draw ring, and a drawing punch, which pushes the blank into the opening of the draw ring, wherein the blank material that flows from the slot between the draw ring and the holddown is formed by drawing in an initial zone of deformation which surrounds the punch, and flows into the opening of the draw ring over the latter's inner edge which is adjacent to the area of the holddown.According to the invention, in order to draw a conical cup of sheet metal, preferably of sheet steel, having a peripheral wall which forms with respect to the center axis of the cup an angle sheet is smaller than 60.degree. and preferably an angle of 3.degree.

Abstract: A handle for a pot, pan or other container which includes two plates which are welded to the container as carriers for the handle and which are located substantially in the fixing direction of the handle, each plate having two oblique edges orientated at an obtuse angle to one another, and at least one spring which, when the handle is pushed on to the handle-carrier plates, becomes tensioned by means of one of the oblique edges and which towards the end of the push-on movement, comes in behind the other edge of the carrier plate, and then presses the handle on the one hand against the container and on the other hand against the carrier plates for the handle.

Abstract: A handle for a pan or lid. At least one spring is provided on the handle for holding the handle body to either the lid or the pan. The spring is received in a groove formed in the handle body and is in the form of a leaf spring having a bent over portion forming a hook. A cross-piece is provided and is secured to either the pan or the lid. The back side of the hook is braced against a shoulder formed on the handle body and the hook portion is urged into resilient engagement with the cross-piece to hold the handle body onto the pan or lid.
