Abstract: A lip or skin applicator device includes a first housing portion (20) and a second housing portion (60) rotatably connected to the first housing portion. The second housing portion rotates about the first housing portion such that, in the closed position, the product is enclosed within the first housing portion and the second housing portion, and in the open position, the product (90) is exposed and the first housing portion is at least partially housed within the second housing portion. The lip or skin applicator device may include an opening with a plurality of fins (24) into which a portion of a product is inserted.

Abstract: A storage container having a collapsible unit and a twist cap is described. The collapsible unit is a type of bellows which includes a base and a sidewall attached to the base. The sidewall has a spiral fold that traverses along a portion of the length of that the collapsible unit. The length can be compressed by folding the collapsible unit along the spiral fold. As the length of the collapsible unit is reduced, access to any remaining products, such as acne pad products, stored at the bottom of the collapsible unit can be more conveniently obtained. The cap of the storage container includes a ring collar; a sleeve attached to the ring collar; and a guide attached to the sleeve. When the cap is turned or twisted the guide and the spiral fold are configured to slidably engage each other which results in shortening the length of the collapsible unit.

Abstract: A fluid applicator device having the interconnected components of a container, a base, a shaft, a piston, a collar, a plurality of fluid conduction pathways and an applicator head is presented. The applicator head is rotatably mounted within the collar and slidably held in place by the inner surface of the collar. The inner surface of the collar also has a plurality of fluid conduction pathways cut into it so that a viscous fluid confined within the container may be flow into the fluid conduction pathways and onto the applicator head so that it may be soothingly applied onto a portion of a user's epidermis such as onto the lips of a user. The method of using the applicator device includes the acts of manipulating, obtaining, pressing, removing, returning, rolling, and withdrawing.

Abstract: A lip care moisturizing product in the form of a water-in-oil emulsion, containing at least one fatty acid ester, at least one wax, the total of said at least one fatty acid ester and said at least one wax being at least about 1.0%, liposomes containing water therein, and an emulsifier. The emulsifier is preferably a mixture of behenoyl stearate and sodium borate, and the liposomes preferably contain a mixture of water and glycerin.

Abstract: A dual regimen acne treatment package includes an outer container, and disposed within the outer container first and second inner containers which are separate from each other. Each of the inner containers has an exposed dispensing means, the first inner container containing a solubilized salicylic acid acne treatment composition, and the second inner container containing a solubilized benzoyl peroxide acne treatment composition.

Abstract: A substantially alcohol-free composition for treatment of acne contains about 0.05 to 26% by weight salicylic acid and about 0.05 to 28% by weight of a solubilizing agent for the salicylic acid, which is sodium tetraborate, sodium carbonate or sodium bicarbonate, dissolved in a cosmetically acceptable aqueous medium.

Abstract: A composition for topical aerosol application contains, by weight, a) about 20 to 90% of an active mixture in the form of a solution, gel or lotion with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide as active ingredient, and optionally, a polymeric thickening agent for a gel or lotion, and b) about 10 to 80% of a propellant system which includes dimethyl ether. The composition has a temperature in the range of 3 to 25° C. when dispensed.

Abstract: A closure for a container is provided which includes a collar engaging the opening of the container, and a removable cap pivotally hinged to the collar by means of a double-fold hinge. When closed, the cap fits over the collar. The arc of travel of the cap as it pivots between its opened and closed position is such that the cap clears the cap engaging portion of the collar and the product in the container. The upper surface of the cap includes a chordal ridge which is adapted to be engaged by thumb pressure enabling easy grasping and opening of the container using one hand. The collar includes a cap engaging portion having at least one upstanding bead circumferentially disposed along an outside surface while the cap has at least one ridge circumferentially disposed along an inside surface configured to engage the upstanding bead when the cap is removably placed over the cap engaging portion such that the cap is retained on the collar.

Abstract: A container for a compact product including a housing, a stem, and a follower engaged with the stem adapted to move axially within the container in response to rotation of the stem. The follower including a central tube threadingly engaged with the stem that is adapted to flex when the follower is in a retracted position and the stem is rotated, to permit the stem to rotate relative to the follower. A fingerwheel may be included to facilitate rotation of the stem.

Abstract: A composition is provided for the treatment of dermal burns and is composed of a homogeneous solution of skin conditioners, anesthetics, water, and alcohol in combination with dimethyl ether. The use of dimethyl ether as the propellant and solvent forms a homogeneous solution of ingredients which otherwise have little solubility in each other. This formulation also cools the skin when applied, significantly improving the healing of the burns. A pressurized aerosol container is also provided having a metered dose valve for accurately dispensing metered doses of the dermal burn composition to optimize treatment and prevent freezing of the skin.

Abstract: An angled plastic tip applicator comprises a compression moulded rigid upper part including a hollow annular tip part being truncated by a convex wall being longitudinally varyingly curved at an impermanent radius. A center tube dependent from the convex wall communicates with an opening in the convex wall. A flat top cap threaded on the tip and having a serrated outer surface has a center pin engageable with the center tube for tight sealing of the applicator. The applicator has a pliable lower metal laminated plastic tubular container wall prevents leaching and pollution of the product.
