Abstract: A pallet shredding apparatus comprising an inclined chute having an open upper end to receive pallets to be shredded and having an open lower end. The chute is moved in a reciprocating path of travel by a hydraulic cylinder unit. A stop is connected to the chute and is spaced from the lower end of the chute in a position to be engaged by the projecting end of the pallet. A pair of fixed blades are mounted in spaced relation and are adapted to be engaged by the projecting end of the pallet as the chute is moved to thereby shred the lower projecting end of the pallet.
