Abstract: A solvent-free method of catalyzing cannabidiol (CBD) to a tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) utilizes a catalyst and carrier oil in combination with extraction techniques to significantly reduce cost and provide high-purity ?8-THC. Using a non-volatile carrier oil in lieu of a highly-flammable, volatile organic solvent provides a simple process that can be incorporated into an appliance-like device that permits the safe production of ?8-THC by a typical user in a home environment without the need for complex laboratory apparatus and expensive safety equipment.

Abstract: A tampon and therapeutic delivery device is disclosed and includes a generally cylindrical applicator tube defining a cartridge within which a tampon is slidably received for ejection through one end of the cartridge. A generally hollow cylindrical plunger member is slidably received within an opposite end of the cartridge for ejecting the tampon therefrom. A cannabinoid-infused disintegrable carrier material is partially embedded in and movably held by the tampon for intravaginal delivery when ejected from the cartridge, whereupon the cannabinoid agent is released into the vagina and absorbed through the vaginal mucosa to provide relief of dysmenorrhea. The cartridge has a plurality of slots to permit pre-lubrication of the tampon, if desired, prior to insertion into the vaginal cavity. The system delivers a higher concentration to the muscle of the uterus, the primary site for the dyskinetic muscle contraction, which is the pathophysiologic cause of dysmenorrhea.

Abstract: A home carbonation system for producing cannabinoid-infused beverages is described. A high-pressure CO2 vessel has a regulator valve assembly interconnected via a fill hose to a seltzer dispenser having an infusion valve, plastic bottle with sealable cap, siphon tube, pressure inlet, solenoid actuated pressure relief valve and motor-driven air pump. A syrup flavor cannabinoid pod operably connects to the bottle and enables the making of desired cannabinoid soda flavor soda. A storage rack is provided.

Abstract: An ultrasonic mixing apparatus and method is provided for cavitation and processing an aqueous first fluid with an oil-based second fluid, e.g., cannabinoids in a sonication or cavitation zone. The apparatus can be used for preparation of nano-particle emulsions of oil-based botanical extracts in aqueous fluids for therapeutic consumption. The apparatus is effective in producing increased bioavailability of the botanical extract due to the small particle size created through cavitation.
