  • Publication number: 20190359974
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses to non-destructively and periodically sample a small quantity of intracellular proteins and mRNA from the same single cell or cells for an extended period of time. Specifically, describe herein are non-perturbative methods for time-resolved, longitudinal extraction and quantitative measurement of intracellular proteins and nucleic acids from a variety of cell types using systems including nanostraws.

  • Publication number: 20120020914
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are related to leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF) for use in repressing human papillomavirus (HPV) transcription. Processes and related kits are described for treating a HPV-associated papillomatous proliferation, for treating a HPV-associated genital, anal, vulvar, penile, oral, or laryngeal wart, for treating HPV-associated cervical dysplasia or cervical cancer, and for repressing HPV transcription, by administering LIF to a patient in need thereof. A related embodiment is treatment of HPV-16 by use of LIF.

  • Patent number: 6376240
Abstract: A novel zinc finger transcription factore (RFLAT-1) and polypeptides related thereto, as well as nucleic acid compositions encoding the same, are provided. The subject polypeptide and nucleic acid compositions find use in a variety of applications, including diagnostic and therapeutic agent screening applications, as well as in treatment therapies. Also provided are methods of treating disease conditions associated with RANTES function, e.g. inflammation, and the like.

  • Patent number: 5280245
Abstract: MRI Apparatus for obtaining a spin-echo signal applies a self-refocusing RF pulse with variable delay in the spin-echo signals following application of the RF pulse. The RF pulse is designed using the Shinnar-LeRoux algorithm B.sub.1 (t)=SLR.sup.-1 {A.sub.n (z), B.sub.n (z) } with A.sub.n '(z) substituted for A.sub.n (z).A.sub.n '(z) is slightly non-minimum phase and equals P(z) A.sub.n (z) where P(z) is a unit amplitude phase function chosen to compensate the phase of B.sub.n (z). The RF pulse can be designed for a specific delay, a specific power constraint, and small tip angle.

  • Patent number: 3985770
Abstract: Production of alkali metal tetracarbonylferrates by reaction of alkali metal with an iron carbonyl, preferably iron pentacarbonyl, in a suitable solvent and in the presence of an electron carrier, the alkali metal being present in the liquid phase. Also, solvated forms of alkali metal tetracarbonylferrates as new compositions of matter. The alkali metal tetracarbonylferrates are useful in the production of aldehydes, ketones, acids, esters and amides.
