Abstract: An automated system provides for tracking and evaluation performance of an athlete. An athlete is tracked during performance of a movement, and position data of the performance is applied to an artificial neural network (ANN) trained via a reference data set representing recorded movements. Using the ANN, rank data for the performance is be determined, where the rank data indicates a relationship between the performance of the movement and a subset of the plurality of recorded movements. Based on the rank data, the athlete can be presented with an evaluation of the performance, instructions for subsequent movements and suggestions for improving the athlete's performance.
