Abstract: Described herewithin is a composition comprising an anti-chafing balm with C18-36 acid triglycerides, capric/caprylic triglycerides, and tribehinin together with a chelated silver oxide complex comprising a barrier film when applied to the skin. The film is a dual purpose antibacterial and anti-chafing barrier topically applied to human skin, providing a layer of chelated silver oxide complex further comprised of a dermatologically acceptable carrier, with friction (chafe) reducing properties, selected from the group consisting of organic solutions, gels, liquids, balms, aerosols, emulsifiers, lotions, water-in-oil emulsions, oil-in-water emulsions, surfactants, aloe barbedensis leaf juice and tocopherol acetate.
