Abstract: A window drive mechanism is used to cover and uncover an opening formed in a first window panel. A second window panel is mounted for movement relative to the first window panel. The second window panel is moved by the window drive mechanism between an open position where the opening is uncovered and a closed position where the second window panel covers the opening. When the second window panel is in the closed position, the second window panel is flush with the first window panel. A guide member is mounted for movement with the second window panel and has a notch that defines a first path of movement where the second window panel is moved inwardly of the first window panel. When activated, the drive mechanism moves the second window panel inwardly to a non-flush position via the notch, and then moves the second window panel axially to uncover the opening.

Abstract: A sliding window assembly includes a fixed window panel and a sliding window panel that is movable along a guide rail relative to the fixed window panel between an open position and a closed position. A window frame is fixed to the sliding window panel and includes a first guide feature. A locking frame is coupled to the window frame and includes a second guide feature. The guide rail, in cooperation with the first and the second guide features, initially guides the sliding window panel to an offset position relative to the fixed window panel, and then guides the sliding window panel in a lateral direction to uncover an opening in the fixed window panel. A locking mechanism cooperates with the locking frame to selectively lock the sliding window panel to the guide rail.

Abstract: A latch mechanism includes a latch bolt moveable between an open position, a first safety position and a closed position. The latch mechanism further includes a power closure system operable to move the latch bolt from the first safety position to the closed position. The power closure system has a transmission path including a drive lever rotatable about a drive lever axis and being engageable with a drive surface of a further transmission path component. The transmission path is operable to connect a power actuator to the latch bolt.
