Patents Assigned to Boeing Aerospace Company
  • Patent number: 4660041
Abstract: The device includes an array of antenna systems which send to a target seeking radar scene simulation signals synchronized with target seeking signals from the target seeking radar. Each of the antenna systems receives control signals which it uses to adjust the scene simulation signals. For FM/CW target seekers, the antenna systems mix the control signals with the target seeking signals. For pulse target seekers, the antenna systems mix the control signals with an illumination signal provided from an illumination radar.

  • Patent number: 4625646
Abstract: An aerial missile carrying multiple launching tubes for submissiles in a circular locus about the longitudinal axis of the aerial missile has independent activating means for each said launching tube to pivot the rear discharge end of each launching tube radially outwardly from the aerial missile. Means for ejecting the individual submissile rearwardly from the launching tube are provided. In one embodiment, a single gas generator activates the launching tube and ejects the submissile. Multiple pyrotechnic charges are provided in one embodiment to establish the ejection velocity of the submissile.

  • Patent number: 4507026
Abstract: The depth control assembly for attachment at one end to a machine tool and at the other end to a drill plate of a jig having selected guide holes positioned over points to be drilled in a production part. The depth control assembly is a spring-loaded adaptor which spaces the drill a constant distance from the production part, regardless of differences in distance between the face of the drill plate and the production part. Through the use of the depth control assembly, an operator can drill holes of a constant depth in the production part without taking separate measurements and making new depth adjustments at each hole location.

  • Patent number: 4417428
Abstract: Segments of multi-layer insulation have their ends bent outwardly and abutting the outwardly bent ends of adjacent segments. A purge gas flows through the spaces in the multi-layer insulation segments, the purge gas entering the spaces by way of some of the segment ends from gas inlet channels formed by extending the outer layers of segments past some of the segment ends and joining the extended outer layers to the outer layers of adjacent segments.

  • Patent number: 4318954
Abstract: A composite printed wiring board is provided wherein the surface of the board is fabricated from conventional fiber reinforced plastic laminates such as glass fiber reinforced epoxy laminates and that laminate is secured by means of a thermoset adhesive to a support member which is fabricated from graphite filament reinforced thermoset resin having a low coefficient of thermal expansion approaching zero. The unrestrained coefficient of thermal expansion of the printed wiring board is significantly greater than that of the support member. However, in the composite assembly, the apparent coefficient of thermal expansion of the printed wiring board is greatly reduced and can approximate the coefficient of thermal expansion of a ceramic chip carrier. The coefficient of thermal expansion of the printed wiring board in its thickness direction is only slightly reduced in the composite assembly.
