Patents Assigned to Boix Maquinaria, S.A.
  • Publication number: 20130109555
Abstract: The invention relates to a machine for assembling cardboard boxes, including a device for feeding sheets of cardboard that are used to form the boxes in a forming station comprising an assembly device including a mold and a male element that descends by means of a vertical linear actuator, in order to form the box inside the mold, co-operating with the latter. The invention is characterized in that it comprises a frame (33) having a hollow surrounding structure that supports the feeder device which is removably connected to the frame (33) in a cantilevered manner.

  • Patent number: 8356706
Abstract: This comprises a horizontal entraining loader (1) on which are placed in an initial zone several piled cardboard sheets (12) to be driven by several transversal pushers (13) to a forming station (14) for cardboard boxes (23), said transversal pushers (13) being connected to a lateral chain (2) coupled to several end pinions (3) connected to several cross axles (4-4?). It is characterized in that the horizontal entrainment loader (1) can be adjusted longitudinally, thereby varying the distance between the transverse axles (4-4?), including for this purpose a vertically moveable tractive mechanism (8), that has a clutch mechanism (20) by means of which the movement is transmitted to a large cogwheel unit (17) and to an encoder (16) arranged coaxially with said large cogwheel unit (17), without ever losing the link between aforementioned encoder (16) and the respective transversal pusher (13).

  • Patent number: 6904733
Abstract: A machine is used for packing bottles by assembling cardboard boxes starting from an unfolded sheet (2) with adhesive strips, in such a way that in an initial step the bottles (6) to be packed are placed on a central part of the unfolded sheet of the box, a central part that will correspond with the bottom of the box. Once the bottles have been put on this central part of the unfolded sheet (2), in a downward movement, the sheet will encounter a funnel-shaped structure (14), whose mouth and due to the weight of the bottles (6), causes the box (8) to be partially assembled, introducing itself inside this funnel-shaped structure (14), resting at its bottom on a movable platform coupled on longitudinal guides (16).

  • Patent number: 6758800
Abstract: The machine assembles cardboard boxes of the type that comprises a main piece or sheet and two independent sheets comprising the front ends, lateral sheets that attach to some laps that form part of the main piece. As a novel characteristic, it includes some side feeders where the independent lateral sheets are stacked and some devices for conveying such lateral sheets that place them on both sides of the male forming element or mandrel, in whose descent such lateral sheets are conveyed and also the main sheet to the folding mold located underneath where the box assembly will be finally formed. This folding mold also includes some improvements that facilitate the assembly of the box.

  • Patent number: 5441381
Abstract: This is a box stacker which is related with a box shaping machine. The boxes come out at the bottom of the machine and drop by gravity onto a conveyor belt and are conveyed to one end of this belt where the stacker which is object of this invention is located. It has upright adjustable guides, two in front and two at the rear which correspond to the vertical corners of the box, and are at the same time coupled in pairs to two cross shanks respectively, which are in turn coupled at the end to the cross shafts which are joined by longitudinal screws. The screws turn in either direction and the upright guides will be adjusted to fit to the dimensions of the boxes. When one of these lies between the four upright guides, a pusher goes up and moves the box to allow room for another one and so on successively. When a stacked row has been formed, which is automatically counted, it will be moved by a pusher towards a platform which is formed by two plates at right angle.

  • Patent number: 5382155
Abstract: The mold that belongs to a cardboard box forming machine is comprised of four forming corners, equal to each other, assembled in such a way that they can be moved longitudinally and transversally in order to carry out the adjustment of length as well as width of the boxes to be formed. The adjustment of length is achieved as a result of the corners being assembled on bushings threaded on spindles, each one of the latter having two sections threaded in a different direction so that the rotation of the former involves contrary movement of each pair of forming corners assembled on each spindle. The adjustment of width is achieved on the grounds of movement of said forming corners along linear guides upon which corresponding bridges slide. Forming corners are also completed with means retaining the box during its formation and pressing means for gluing of the corresponding laps.

  • Patent number: 5290224
Abstract: They consist of an adjustable mechanism to feed the cardboard sheets with which boxes are formed and of a lifting device of the laps that said cardboard sheets have. The purpose of the adjustable mechanism for the feeding of the sheets is to adjust the position of the vacuum suction pads for the feeding of the cardboard sheets, whatever the dimensions thereof are, without the need to stop the assembly machine. For this reason, the groups of suction pads have their supports resting on two split contrary thread spindles, in such a way that with a single manual control and connecting both spindles by chain transmission displacement thereof is obtained all along the guide bars, thus establishing the work position of said suction pads. The purpose of the lap lifting device is to automatically effect the lifting of the laps to the predetermined angular position.

  • Patent number: 5256129
Abstract: A box forming apparatus for forming a box from a pressed cardboard blank which has been introduced on a forming matrix. The apparatus has two rectangular end plates joined together by a bridge by means of a guide and bolt system in each plate. The guide and bolt system permits variation and adjustment of the height of the apparatus with regard to the machine support. Two winged plates are pivotally attached between the end plates, the winged plates pivoting freely without the aid of pistons or springs. The respective axes of rotation of each of the wings is located at their respective top edges. The pivoting of the wings is delimited by round profiles, or stops, located on the end plates at two separate locations. One set of the stops prevent motion inward towards the center of the end plates, while a second set of stops prevent motion outward away from the center of the end plates. The wings have a bevelled bottom edge for relatively free sliding motion as the wings contact the cardboard blank.
