Abstract: A beverage carbonator is disclosed. The carbonator has a carbonator outlet, a carbonator inlet, and a fluid flow path extending between the carbonator outlet and the carbonator inlet. A carbonation chamber has a carbonation chamber gas outlet fluidly coupled to the fluid flow path and a carbonation chamber fluid inlet. A liquid reservoir is positioned upstream from the carbonation chamber fluid inlet. A flow valve is movable between a reservoir-connected position and a gas-recirculation position. A pump is fluidly coupled to the fluid flow path downstream of the flow valve.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for carbonating a beverage. One of the methods includes: connecting a beverage container to a beverage carbonator, the beverage container containing the beverage; receiving a carbonation signal associated with a user request to carbonate the beverage in the beverage container; detecting a temperature of the beverage; determining a customized carbonation duration, based at least in part on the detected temperature, to obtain a targeted carbonation level in the beverage; and directing carbon dioxide gas into contact with the beverage until expiry of the customized carbonation duration. In some cases, the received carbonation signal is associated with a beverage composition of the beverage (e.g. orange juice, wine, water, etc.).

The body includes a top side opposite a bottom side, and one or more peripheral sides extending between the top side and the bottom side. The body also includes at least one channel. Each channel extends along one of the top side and the bottom side. Each channel extends in length from a first channel end to a second channel end. Each first and second channel end is located at one of the peripheral sides. Each channel, between its first and second channel ends, is spaced from the peripheral sides. Each channel provides a frangible line of weakness. At least a portion of each channel extends linearly from the channel's first channel end to the channel's second channel end. A beverage carbonating system is also disclosed.
