  • Publication number: 20200317027
Abstract: The present invention relates to a heating device for heating fluids, such as water or a liquid coolant, for example, which can be applied in electric or hybrid vehicles, for example, where the absence of an internal combustion engine or its shorter time of use requires using heating devices for heating either the passenger compartment or other parts of the vehicle that require it. The present invention is characterized by a configuration which limits the temperature to the temperature at which heat exchange occurs between the heat generation source and the liquid to be heated, such that the liquid does not generate precipitates, prolonging the service life of the device.

  • Publication number: 20200217596
Abstract: The present invention relates to a fin body intended for being housed inside a heat exchange tube which is one from among heat exchange tubes showing a planar configuration. The fin body is configured in the form of a plate, this plate being the one inserted into the heat exchange tube. The plate is configured from a metal sheet bent into a plurality of consecutive bends. The invention is characterized by a range of characteristic width to height ratio in the interval of 0.15-0.5, and according to more specific cases, in the lower subranges. As a result, the fin gives rise to a heat exchange tube with a higher efficiency than fins known in the state of the art without penalizing the pressure drop.

  • Patent number: 10495385
Abstract: A heat exchange device of a floating core type, having a special configuration which allows increasing its durability as it increases its thermal fatigue resistance. The device is characterized by a configuration having high thermal fatigue resistance due to the special configuration of the end where the floating side of the core is located since stagnation regions that are usually produced in the baffle of the floating end are eliminated by the combination of the shape of the shell and of a deflector. This configuration furthermore results in a low-cost exchanger.

  • Patent number: 10458723
Abstract: The present invention is a cross-flow evaporator adapted to generate vapor from the heat of the exhaust gases from an internal combustion engine. The evaporator is constituted, among other elements, by two plates spaced from one another which contain chambers. The heat exchange tubes alternately communicate the chambers of both plates, establishing a specific path for the fluid intended to change phase. The tubes extending between the chambers of the two plates are arranged transverse to the flow of the hot gas. This evaporator is suitable for heat recovery systems using a Rankine cycle, making use of the heat from the exhaust gases. The invention is characterized by a special configuration of the chambers by means of caps that allow the evacuation-of the gases generated during a brazing welding in the manufacturing process.

  • Publication number: 20180017024
Abstract: The invention relates to a heat exchanger for an EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) system, comprising a tube bundle of flat tubes, configured by combining two plates incorporating specific protrusions distributed according to the direction of the tube. These protrusions in both plates are in contact with one another or attached such that they establish internal channels. The present invention is characterized by the presence of either transverse projections or of transverse deviations generating disturbances in the flow through side walls of the internal channels, increasing the turbulence of the flow through said channels and thereby increasing heat exchange by convection.
