Abstract: An arrow fletcher for use in supporting an arrow shaft having a nock and holding a fletching proximate the shaft is provided which includes a frame, an shaft support and an indexing head including a nock receiver. The shaft support may include a plurality of discretely sized openings therein for receiving any one of a plurality of differently sized arrow shafts in alignment with the nock receiver. Preferably, the shaft support is rotatably mounted to the frame so that differently sized openings may be brought into position by rotating the shaft support. The indexing head includes a plurality of selectively positionable pointers and indicia located on the body of the indexing head for identifying the angular relationship between the nock of the arrow and the fletching placements. The nock receiver is preferably adjustable relative to the indexing head body whereby the angular relationship between the nock and the fletchings may be changed.
Abstract: A compact, portable archery bow square head especially useful during hunting or field trips is provided which serves to accurately locate the nocking point on a bow string. The bow square head preferably includes a generally planar main member, a pair of spaced apart bow string-engaging clips projecting from the main member, a concical lug projecting outwardly from the main member in the same direction as the string-engaging clips, and an elongated, threaded lug projecting outwardly from the main member in opposed linear relationship with the conical lug. The conical lug is designed to support any of a variety of sizes of arrow nocks, and the threaded lug is designed to threadably receive the internally threaded, arrowhead fitting of an arrow shaft.
Abstract: A stabilizer for archery bows in the form of a hollow body, there being a rod for attaching the body to an archery bow, to position the body forwardly of the bow whereby the body may resist the torque of the bow when an arrow is released; absorb the shock and vibration occurring when the arrow is released and balance the bow. The stabilizer is particularly intended for use with hunting bows, there being scent emitting material carried within the body, the scent emanating therefrom passing through a plurality of holes which circumscribe the body and into the atmosphere whereby to cover any human scent and attract game. The weight of the stabilizer is adjusted by means of movable weights which are carried within the body and retained in position by a coil spring, there being a closure cap for the hollow body for gaining access to the interior thereof to permit positioning of the movable weights within the body, at the selection of the user of the stabilizer.
