Abstract: A suspension assembly for a personal tracked vehicle comprises a first swing arm pivotally connectable to a frame of the vehicle. The first swing arm has a first end and a second end. A second swing arm is pivotally connectable to the first swing arm. The second swing arm has a first end and a second end. At least one spring member is connected to the first and second swing arms. At least one first wheel is rotatably connected to the first end of the first swing arm. At least one second wheel is rotatably connected to the first end of the second swing arm. The at least one first and second wheels are adapted to be in contact with the same track of the vehicle. The first and second wheels are one of an idler wheel and a drive wheel. Suspensions and personal tracked vehicles are also presented.

Abstract: A driver pulley assembly for a continuously variable transmission (CVT) includes a roller weight guide, having an inner and outer periphery, adapted to be mounted on the main shaft of the CVT. A plurality of ramp windows extend radially along the roller weight guide. A pair of guide rails extend along opposite edges of each ramp window. A plurality of roller weights, mounted on the pair of guide rails, is adapted to move along the pair of guide rails in a radial direction of the roller weight guide. A ramp structure, coinciding with the ramp window, extends in the radial direction of the roller weight guide and abuts the plurality of roller weights. The roller weighs are adapted to move radially outwards along the ramp structure with increasing rotational speed of the roller weight guide. The ramp structures have ramp profiles. CVT systems and vehicles including the driver pulley assembly are also included.

Abstract: There is provided a motorized cycle comprising a frame, a seat, handle bars and a plurality of suspensions mounted to the frame, a plurality of wheels each coupled to one of the plurality of suspensions, one or more motors connected to the wheels causing the wheels to rotate and a control mechanism to independently control the one or more motors in response to a side-to-side and a front-to-back tilt of the motorized cycle. There is also provided a control system for operating a motorized cycle comprising a control board including software, a plurality of sensors providing inputs to the control board, a plurality of motors receiving instruction from the control board wherein the software maintains the center of gravity of the cycle in both a side-to-side and front-to-back direction by instructing the motors to accelerate or decelerate.

Abstract: The invention is a tracked vehicle comprising a platform having a right and left side and a central axis pivotally mounted on a housing. The platform is pivotally movable between a first position wherein the right side is below the left side and a second position wherein the left side is below the right side. The vehicle includes a pair of parallel right and left tracks mounted to the housing below the platform, the right track and the left track coupled to a right track drive and a left track drive, respectively, the right and left track drives operatively coupled to the platform. When pivoted towards the first position, the left track is driven faster than the right track. When pivoted towards the second position, the right track is driven faster than the left track. In a central platform position the left and right drives operate at the same speed.

Abstract: There is provided a motorized cycle comprising a frame, a seat mounted upon the frame, a plurality of suspensions mounted to the frame, a plurality of wheels each coupled to a suspension wherein the operation of the motorized cycle is based on the physical position and movements of the rider. Also provided is a suspension system for a motorized cycle comprising a plurality of suspensions each coupled to the frame of the motorized cycle, and a plurality of wheels each coupled to a suspension such that each wheel is able to move relative to the other wheels and the frame. According to another aspect, there is provided a rider positioning system for a motorized cycle comprising handle bars and a seat wherein the movement of the handle bars affects the movement of the seat.
