    Abstract: A medical table top is formed with a connecting portion formed about the periphery of the table top. An extension accessory is provided that includes a receiving portion that snap fits over the connecting portion of the medical table top. The material from which the medical table top and accessory extension is constructed does not absorb energy rays, such as X-rays and does not interfere with the examining procedure involving X-rays.
