Abstract: A lavatory system includes a basin having a water collecting area having a back wall, a bottom wall, and a front wall. The back wall of the water collecting area is proximate the wall on which the lavatory system is mounted. Further, an opening may extend through the front wall. The lavatory system also includes a hand dryer having a blower located below the water collecting area and a first plenum having an input and an output. The input is connected to the blower to receive a first air flow from the blower, and the output is aligned with the opening in the front wall of the water collecting area to deliver the first air flow from the front wall over the water collecting area.

Abstract: A lavatory system includes a hand dryer with at least a first proximity sensor and a second proximity sensor to detect an object for drying. A controller is communicatively linked to the first and second proximity sensors. The controller activates a drying operation after a first delay period if the first proximity sensor first detects the object for drying and activates a drying operation after a second delay period if the second proximity sensor first detects the object for drying. A filter flow sensor may also be provided to ensure proper filtering of the dryer's air.

Abstract: A combination emergency wash and faucet unit includes a base configured to be coupled to a sink, an emergency wash arm pivotally coupled to the base and including an emergency wash unit configured to dispense a first fluid, and a spout pivotally coupled to the base and configured to dispense a second fluid. The emergency wash arm is repositionable relative to the base between a stored position and an active position. The spout is repositionable relative to the base and the emergency wash arm. The spout is configured to move away from the active position of the emergency wash arm when the emergency wash arm is moved from the stored position toward the active position.

Abstract: An automatic paper towel dispenser includes a dispensing mechanism configured to dispense a paper towel, a light detection and ranging (LIDAR) sensor, and a controller in communication with the LIDAR sensor. The LIDAR sensor is configured to emit light toward an object within a detection region at a first time, detect the light reflected by the object at a second time, and calculate a time of flight of the light. The time of flight is an amount of time that elapses between the first time and the second time. The controller is configured to calculate a distance between the LIDAR sensor and the object based on the time of flight and actuate the dispensing mechanism based on the calculated distance.

Abstract: A multiple stage discharge system for a gravity-fed emergency shower system is provided herein. The multiple stage discharge system includes a drain; a first opening defined by the drain; a second opening defined by the drain; and a valve mechanism coupled to the second opening to permit fluid in a fluid tank of the gravity-fed emergency shower system to flow at least partly through the drain via the second opening in response to a fluid level in the fluid tank decreasing to at or below a threshold fluid level.
Abstract: A multi-purpose hand washing station is disclosed that includes a hand dryer attached to a basin. The hand dryer includes a top air plenum and a bottom air plenum. A grid molded into each air plenum provides structural support to the plenums. Both the top and bottom air plenums include a plurality of air outlets that direct pressurized air from a blower for hand drying. An air hose that supplies pressurized air to the bottom air plenum includes a water trap that prevents water from flowing into the air outlets, down the air hose, and to the blower. A soap dispenser mounted on the basin dispenses liquefied soap for hand washing and is refillable by opening a lid on the soap dispenser and pouring liquefied soap into a funnel insert where it travels through a fill port into a reservoir.
