Abstract: The present invention discloses a vibration cutting device and a method for vibration cutting. The vibration cutting device comprises at least one first oscillating heat, a controller, by means of which the first oscillating head can be selectively electrically excited in order to carry out oscillations within a frequency range below the kilohertz range, and a cutting tool disposed between a first and a second fixture, while the first fixture is connected to the first oscillating head such that mechanical oscillations of the first oscillating head can be transferred to the cutting tool.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for adjusting the operating frequency of a vibratory welding system producing orbital motion comprising a workpiece socket head which is mounted to resilient means. The head is driven by electromagnetic means to produce orbital vibrations to be constricted to a vibratory plane for welding workpieces, in particular made of plastic material, wherein the frequency is varied within a predetermined range of frequencies to detect the geometrical configuration of the vibration, followed by selecting the frequency exhibiting the best possible vibratory configuration and defining the operating frequency to which the system will be adjusted.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a friction welding device for joining workpieces, preferably those of thermoplastic material, comprising a stationary support, an oscillating platform and a plurality of flexural rod-like members connecting said support and said platform and an electromagnetic drive motor for driving said platform in an orbital motion. According to the invention, the electromagnetic drive motor comprises electro-motor components as they are commercially available, i. e. a drum-type cylindrical rotor composed of laminated iron sheets, preferably of the squirrel-cage type and a stator having slots provided along its inner periphery, all these parts being cheaply available since they are mass products in manufacturing asynchronous motors.

Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for pulverizing at least a jet of a quid or solid material in a standing ultrasonic field which is generated between at least a pair of ultrasonic devices. To increase the pulverizing capacity a plurality of pulverizing fluid jets and in addition supplementary fluid jets, for example a gas is introduced through separate nozzles at each nodal pressure area of the standing ultrasonic wave. In addition the pulverizing capacity is further increased by providing special horn shapes of the ultrasonic devices.

Abstract: In vibration welding the process takes place in a number of phases. The qity of the welding connection depends on which phase is reached during vibration and which conditions prevail in the phase 3 of the vibration process. According to the invention the welding machine is provided with a measuring and controlling system for the displacement distance to determine when the phase 3 of the process is safely reached and to control the joining velocity in this phase.
