Abstract: A system for coupling various firearm accessories to a firearm may include an anchor that couples to a firearm accessory rail of the firearm and a coupling member that couples a firearm accessory to the anchor. A method of coupling various firearm accessories to a firearm may involve positioning an anchor within the body of a firearm accessory to be coupled to the firearm and bringing the anchor into contact with a firearm accessory rail of the firearm. The method may involve bringing the anchor into tension with the firearm accessory rail such that the anchor is securely engaged with the rail (e.g., through the use of a coupling member, integrated anchor shaft, and/or nut or other component). The systems and methods may couple a wide variety of firearm accessories to a wide variety of firearm accessory rails.

The large hollow cylinder contains a small hollow cylinder. A bolt protrudes from a first end of the main body through the small hollow cylinder and the large hollow cylinder. A cylindrical rotor having a round aperture in the center contains one or more helical pads is coupled to a top plate by one or more anchors. The top plate includes one or more helical recesses that interface with the one or more helical pads. The one or more anchors secure the top plate to the intermediate body.

The method may further include driving the threaded body into the threaded hole such that the coupling member and firearm accessory are compressed against the accessory rail.

The main body may have a passage that mates with the receiver extension, while the rear body may be removably coupled to the main body such that any number of swappable, modular rear bodies may be coupled to the main body. The main body may include a toggle assembly with a actuating lever coupled to an bowed or ached actuating spring. The toggle assembly may also include a locking block with a plurality of shafts that distribute the load from the receiver extension to the main body rather than concentrating mechanical stress on a single lock pin.
