Publication number: 20250162786Abstract: The invention relates to a device (10) for dispensing oxygen (30) under pressure. The device comprises a canister (12) filled with activated carbon (14) and oxygen (30) at a pressure of between 4 and 20 barg, when measured at room temperature. The canister is sealed with a valve assembly (18) allowing release of oxygen from the canister on actuation of the valve assembly. To ensure the activated carbon does not react with the oxygen generating carbon monoxide the device further comprises a catalyst (16) that prevents or significantly reduces the presence of carbon monoxide. In a further aspect there is a device (10) for dispensing a gas (30) under pressure which device comprises a canister (12) with a volume of 1 I or less filled with activated carbon (14) to adsorb the gas under a pressure of between 4 and 20 barg when measured at room temperature.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 26, 2024Publication date: May 22, 2025Applicant: Simply Breathe LtdInventors: Joe Michael Barratt, Matthew James Sygrove

Patent number: 9168201Abstract: An ampoule made of plastics material, for liquid or suspension pharmaceuticals, has a reservoir linked to a removable head by a channel in a neck portion. The channel has a trap, thus located between its reservoir and the head, in the form of an elongated restriction and/or a bend to trap liquid or suspension which may settle during storage, and prevent either reaching the head.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 2012Date of Patent: October 27, 2015Assignee: Breath Ltd.Inventors: Ian Gardener Cameron McAffer, Peter Ernest Tasko

Patent number: 6877509Abstract: The present invention is an aerosol inhalation interface, and a method for its use. The device delivers a flow of aerosol medication to a patient breathing tidally by creating a medication rich environment proximal to the nose and mouth of the patient, while the patient is in a reclining position. The device, which is suspended above the patient's nose and mouth, is comprised of an aerosol generator, which generates medicated particles; a containment region, into which the generator discharges the medicated particles; a downwardly projecting outlet sleeve, which is connected to the containment region and channels the particles from the containment region to create a medication rich environment proximal to the nose and mouth of the patient; and an air movement deflector, which inhibits the dispersion of the particles and disturbance of the medication rich environment.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 2001Date of Patent: April 12, 2005Assignee: Baby's Breath Ltd.Inventor: Asaf Halamish
