Patents Assigned to Brelan S.A.
  • Patent number: 5187914
Abstract: A bent tubular profile with lateral grooves intended to form arches for a covering-structure which may be removed is presented. The covering-structures may be at least partially removed between each of the pairs of arches thereof by sliding flexible sheets which are preferable made from a plastic material which is generally transparent. The arch is formed by a single-piece bent profile comprising a central bearing body which is tubular and has a round, oval, square, rectangular or polygonal section or is a U-shaped profile. Bearing on each side and perpendicularly to its vertical plane of symmetry are fins arranged one above the other. The device of the present invention is more particularly intended for covering a swimming pool.

  • Patent number: 4783861
Abstract: An openable covering structure for any desired location which is particularly well adapted for use in conjunction with a swimming pool, comprising several covering elements extending above the basin of the swimming pool and movable relative to one another. Each covering element comprises two parallel arches between which extend transparent or translucent covering plates. To make the opening operations easier and to extend the opening possibilities, each arch of a covering element has, in at least one of its front vertical faces, at least three parallel and superimposed grooves which extend over the entire length of the arch and in which are respectively fitted at least three covering plates mounted in the grooves so as to be capable of transversely sliding.

  • Patent number: 4587776
Abstract: A roofing structure, for forming for example a vault, possibly transparent or translucent, is adapted to cover a zone located between two supports generally parallel in a longitudinal direction. This structure is composed of a plurality of juxtaposed roofing plates located at one or more levels, and of hoop elements disposed transversaly between the two longitudinal supports. Each of these hoop elements is constituted by at least two elementary hoop elements comprising a lower hoop element and an upper hoop element superposed on the lower hoop element. The transverse edges of the roofing plates are engaged between the lower and upper hoop elements of each pair. The roofing structure comprises means for provoking the deformation of one of the superposed hoop elements by applying it under pressure against the other and thus effecting gripping of the roofing plates between the superposed elementary hoop elements, without any seal.
