  • Patent number: 4746072
Abstract: A food processor having a shredder attachment for shredding or slicing food product against a rotating slicer plate includes a pusher plate releasably connected to a feed chute by a removable handle which prevents disassembly of the pusher plate for cleaning unless the feed chute is in a non-operating position. A splitter in the form of a knife-edge projection is positioned in the feed chute to direct food product to the periphery of the slicer plate while slicing food product pushed thereagainst. A slicer plate holder achieves improved discharge of shredded food product from a housing containing the slicer plate by providing a number of spaced wiper blades which scrape or wipe the interior surfaces of the housing, and an outer ring which also directs food product out of the housing. The slicer plate holder also includes a hub for covering a bearing, which bearing drivingly connects the hub to the food processor power unit, so as to prevent food product from contacting the bearing.

  • Patent number: 4735152
Abstract: A cantilever shelf assembly adapted to mount to the opposed legs at one end or side of a table, chair and the like comprises a pair of shelf support brackets each having a U-shaped end forming opposed clamp arms adapted to rest against the leg. A set screw is inserted through the upper portion of each clamp arm into contact with one side of the leg so that when the shelf support brackets are loaded the lower end of the clamp arms tends to pivot about the set screws to wedge the leg therebetween. A bolt extending between the clamp arms of each shelf support bracket maintains the relative lateral spacing therebetween to avoid fracture of the clamp arms. A stabilizer is also provided comprising a rod positioned between the legs and below the cantilever shelf which is mounted to each leg by a strap to prevent lengthwise collapse of the table or chair when the cantilever shelf is heavily loaded.

  • Patent number: 4706895
Abstract: A shredder attachment for a food processor includes a handle which mounts on either side of a pusher plate for pushing food product received in the feed chute of the shredder attachment against a circular slicer plate for shredding. The pusher plate is formed with a hollow sleeve having an internal keyway accessible from either side which mates with an upright key formed on the handle. Mounting brackets rotatably mount the handle and pusher plate to the feed chute, with the handle positioned on either side of the pusher plate, to permit movement of the pusher plate within the feed chute. The mounting brackets prevent disengagement of the handle and pusher plate for cleaning except upon movement of the pusher plate to a predetermined position relative to the brackets wherein the food processor is non-operational.
