Abstract: A standing seam roof assembly. The assembly includes at least one first panel with a first side edge turned vertically upward. At least one second panel has a side edge turned vertically upward with the second panel side edge adjoining the first panel side edge. A plurality of clips each have a fixed base with a slot therethrough. At least one base insert has a substantially flat first section installable beneath the first panel, a substantially flat second section installable beneath the second panel, and a plurality of upturned tabs between the first and the second side edge. The upturned tabs are received in the slots of the clips. Adhesive on the first section adheres to the first panel and adhesive on the second section adheres to the second panel.

Abstract: A roof truss and method of assembly. The roof truss of the invention has a first layer of top chord members and a bottom chord, a second layer of web members, and a third layer of top chord members and a bottom chord. The second layer is affixed to the first layer with first layer fasteners and the third layer is affixed to said second layer with second layer fasteners. The first layer fasteners pass through the second layer to engage the first layer from a first side of the roof truss and the second layer fasteners pass through the third layer to engage the second layer from the first side of the roof truss. Therefore, the truss components may be field assembled without having to turn the partially assembled truss. The use of common components and fasteners and the ease of assembly provide an economical alternative to known truss systems.

Abstract: A modular rail and post fence system. The fence system includes a plurality of rail assemblies with each rail assembly formed from a pair of panels. Each panel has a pair of sidewalls joined together at an angle to form an angled edge wherein the pair of panels are joined together to form a rail assembly. A plurality of elongated posts are also provided. Each elongated post has at least one longitudinal recess with a pair of opposed protrusions extending into the longitudinal recess. At least one pair of notches in the pair of opposed protrusions is provided whereby the angled edges of each rail assembly are received in one pair of notches of the elongated posts. The entire system may be fabricated, assembled, and installed without fasteners.
