    Abstract: A shutter mechanism for a camera of an electronic device can include a slider mechanism that enables the shutter mechanism to operate between an open state in which a lens of the camera is exposed and a closed state that blocks the lens of the camera. The slider mechanism comprises a one or more slider appendages that operate the shutter mechanism between the open state and the closed state. Each of the one or more slider appendages slide along a horizontal axis in relation to a horizontal axis corresponding to the lens of the camera.
