Patents Assigned to Brinkmann Corporation
  • Patent number: 9110491
Abstract: The present invention is embodied in a conversion kit for a gas grilling appliance with rotary valves that avoids the need to use either a sleeve inserted in the inner chamber of the regulating plug or interchangeable knobs on the valve shaft. The conversion kit comprises a regulating device for each valve that can be readily installed by removing the existing control knob, placing the regulating device on the valve shaft, and replacing the control knob. The regulating device cooperates with a stop structure on the control panel to limit rotation of the control knob, when converting the grilling appliance from one type of gas to another.

  • Publication number: 20140165992
Abstract: A grill comprising a firebox assembly for mounting on a cart assembly, the cart assembly having first and second support assemblies interconnected by at least one linking member. A hinge or pivot in the mid-portion of the linking member divides it into first and second linking member portions, and the opposite ends of the linking member portions are pivotally connected by hinges to the first and second support assemblies. The linking member holds the support assemblies together in a partially pre-assembled state, and the pivotal connections of the linking member portions allow the two assemblies to be folded for packaging in a shipping container. When removed from the container, the pivotal connections of the linking member portions allow the support assemblies to be unfolded horizontally to convert the cart assembly to an assembled configuration in which the support assemblies are unfolded to a position suitable for supporting the firebox assembly.

  • Publication number: 20140090635
Abstract: A propane tank fuel gauge for use with a barbecue grill that measures the weight of the tank and thereby provides a readily perceived indication of the amount of propane gas remaining therein. The fuel gauge comprises a base, a tank mount adapted for mounting a propane tank, a spring-loaded support mechanism for supporting the tank mount relative to the base, and a fuel level indicator connected to the support mechanism for providing an indication of the total weight of the tank including the propane gas remaining therein.

  • Patent number: 8602017
Abstract: The present invention is embodied in a grill configured for quick assembly, a method of partially pre-assembling the grill for shipping from the factory in a container, and a method of assembling the grill when removed from the shipping container. The grill comprises a firebox assembly for mounting on a cart assembly, the cart assembly having first and second support assemblies and at least one linking member interconnecting them. A hinge or pivot in the mid-portion of the linking member divides it into first and second linking member portions, and the opposite ends of the linking member portions are pivotally connected by hinges or the like to the first and second support assemblies. The linking member holds the first and second support assemblies together in a partially pre-assembled state, and the pivotal connections of the linking member portions allow the two assemblies to be folded for packaging in a shipping container.

  • Publication number: 20110085341
Abstract: The present invention is embodied an a dual-chamber passive cooling system for a light-emitting diode (LED) lamp and in a lighting fixture comprising such a system. The system comprises a printed circuit board (PCB) having a hole formed therein and extending through the PCB, and a shell defining a recess configured to receive the PCB. An LED may be positioned on one side of the PCB. The PCB is a thermally conductive PCB, such as a metal-core or graphite-core PCB, and is positioned within the recess so that it divides the recess into a first chamber defining a first volume and a second chamber defining a second volume that is less than the first volume. The shell has a first opening formed therein proximate the first chamber and a second opening formed therein proximate the second chamber, so that air can flow into and out of the chambers, cooling the LED and PCB through convection.
