Patents Assigned to Britax Vega Limited
  • Patent number: 5416682
Abstract: A bulb supporting device of a vehicle lamp assembly consists of a socket, a resilient gasket having a first surface abutting an annular surface within the socket, and a bulb holder having an annular flange with a surface abutting a second surface of the gasket. The gasket has two annular ribs on one of its surfaces with openings at circumferentially spaced locations to provide a labyrinth-type flow path for air to enter and exit the interior of the lamp assembly.

  • Patent number: 4644455
Abstract: A vehicle lamp assembly comprises a light source and a light transmitting member carrying a plurality of strips formed of a light absorbing material. Baffle elements, formed of transparent material and each having an opaque coating on one of its side faces, extend perpendicular to the surface of the light transmitting member towards the light source. Each baffle element is aligned with a respective one of the parallel strips. Lens means are arranged to concentrate light from the light source between adjacent strips and a color filter is located between the light source and the baffle elements.

  • Patent number: 4577260
Abstract: A vehicle lamp assembly is disclosed for use when the outer cover or lens element extends round the corner of the vehicle or when the outer cover or lens element is significantly larger in one or two mutually perpendicular directions than in the other. The lamp assembly comprises a light source, a light transmitting cover element and a light transmitting intermediate element disposed between the source and the cover element. The intermediate element has coaxial cylindrical inner and outer surfaces located with the light source of their common axis, one of the cylindrical surfaces carrying elongated Fresnel prism formations of uniform cross-section extending parallel to the common axis and the other cylindrical surface carrying elongate Fresnel prism formations of constant cross-section extending in respective planes perpendicular to said common axis.

  • Patent number: 4558402
Abstract: A vehicle lamp assembly, of the type in which the color of the light to be produced by the lamp cannot readily be perceived when the lamp is not illuminated, comprises a housing having an inner portion containing a light source and an outer portion enclosed by a lens arranged to collimate light from the light source. The outer portion of the housing is separated from the inner portion by a color filter. The inner surface of the side walls of the inner portion are of stepped form so as to be either substantially parallel to or substantially perpendicular to the optical axis of the assembly.

  • Patent number: 4558401
Abstract: A vehicle lamp assembly, of the type in which the color of the light to be produced by the lamp cannot readily be perceived when the lamp is not illuminated, comprises an outer light transmitting member having horizontal strips of opaque material embedded in its outer surface. A respective horizontal baffle is aligned with each opaque strip. A lens element focuses collimated light on the gaps between the strips and can also serve as a color filter.

  • Patent number: 4556928
Abstract: A vehicle lamp assembly comprises a housing enclosed by a light transmitting cover element and having an inner portion containing a light source and an outer portion containing a lens and a reflector, both of which are arranged to collimate light from the light source parallel to a common optical axis. The reflector is arranged to direct the light collimated thereby past an edge of the lens. The outer portion of the housing is separated from the inner portion by a color filter, the assembly being so constructed as to obstruct passage of light between the cover element and the color filter except via the lens or via the reflector.
