Patents Assigned to Broadsign Serv LLC
  • Patent number: 11074607
Abstract: A method and digital signage server for managing display of a distributed digital signage content. The digital signage server stores a first placement target for the distributed digital signage content, and a second placement target for the distributed digital signage content. The distributed digital signage content is displayed on a first digital signage player according to the first placement target and displayed on a second digital signage player according to the second placement target. The digital signage server exchanges messages with the first and second digital signage players for negotiating a modification of the first and second placement targets. The digital signage server ultimately modifies the first and second placement targets based on the messages exchanged with the first and second digital signage players.

  • Patent number: 10915920
Abstract: A method and digital signage player for managing display of a distributed digital signage content. The digital signage player stores the distributed digital signage content, and a local placement target for the distributed digital signage content. The digital signage player displays the distributed digital signage content in accordance with the local placement target. The digital signage player exchanges messages with a neighbor digital signage player, for increasing the local placement target of the distributed digital signage content at the request of the neighbor digital signage player. The neighbor digital signage player also displays the distributed digital signage content in accordance with its own placement target, which needs to be decreased. The digital signage player ultimately increases the local placement target of the distributed digital signage content based on the messages exchanged with the neighbor digital signage player.

  • Patent number: 10740783
Abstract: A method and digital signage player for managing distributed digital signage content. A memory of the digital signage player stores a distributed digital signage content, a distributed digital signage content identifier for identifying the distributed digital signal content, and a local placement target for the distributed digital signage content. A processing unit of the digital signage player displays the distributed digital signage content on a display of the digital signage player, in accordance with the local placement target. The digital signage player exchanges, via a communication interface, synchronization data related to the distributed digital signage content with the at least one of a digital signage server and neighbor digital signage player. The processing unit increases or decreases the local placement target based on the synchronization data exchanged.

  • Patent number: 10691309
Abstract: The present relates to a method, an electronic device and computer readable memory for incorporating a transition effect upon playing subsequent digital media elements. The method, device and computer readable memory concurrently manage a current and next media elements, and render the current and next media elements. The method, electronic device and computer readable memory further apply the transition effect to the current and next media elements; and play the current and next media elements with the applied transition effect.

  • Publication number: 20200186865
Abstract: Master computing device and method for synchronizing display of a digital content (for example a digital signage content) on the master computing device and on one or more slave computing device. The master device transmits a synchronization request, comprising a digital content identifier for identifying the digital content, to the slave device(s). The master device determines a number of negative responses received from the slave device(s) in response to the synchronization request. Each negative response is indicative of one among the slave device(s) not being capable of displaying the digital content. The master device transmits a new synchronization request to the slave computing device(s) if the number of received negative responses reaches a threshold. The master computing device transmits a display command to the slave device(s) for displaying the digital content on their respective display(s) if the number of received negative responses does not reach the threshold.

  • Publication number: 20200184513
Abstract: Master computing device and method for determining an actual number of impressions provided by a synchronized group of devices comprising the master and one or more slave computing device. The master device transmits a synchronization request to the slave device(s) and determines a number of negative responses received from the slave device(s) in response to the synchronization request. A negative response indicates that one slave device is not capable of displaying digital content. The master device determines a number of displays D capable of displaying digital content based on the number of negative responses received. The master device determines a metric representative of the actual number of impressions provided by the master device and the slave device(s). The metric is calculated based on the number of displays D. The master device transmits the metric to a server and the server calculates the actual number of impressions using the metric.

  • Patent number: 10609432
Abstract: Server and method for synchronizing display of a digital content on a plurality of computing devices. The server transmits a synchronization request, including a digital content identifier for identifying the digital content, to the devices. The server determines a number of negative responses received from the devices in response to the synchronization request. Each negative response is indicative of one among the plurality of devices not being capable of displaying the digital content. The server transmits a new synchronization request to the computing devices if the number of received negative responses reaches a threshold. The server transmits a display command to the devices for displaying the digital content on their respective displays if the number of received negative responses does not reach the threshold. For example, the method applies to a digital signage server synchronizing display of a digital signage content on a plurality of digital signage players.
