Abstract: The present invention relates to a container of fiber pulp for packaging of food, such as vacuum packaging or modified atmosphere packaging. The container comprises a bottom part and side walls surrounding said bottom part and has at an upper end thereof a circumferential longitudinal rim part having a planer main surface being substantially parallel to the bottom plane and defining an opening of the container. The side walls further comprise a reinforcing element below the longitudinal rim part for generating an increased moment of inertia of the rim part along the longitudinal direction thereof.

  • Patent number: 9650204
Abstract: An egg package having a bottom part having egg receiving compartments and a cover part hinged to the bottom part. Ends of the cover part each have a pair partially ovoid portions and a concave middle section between them. A continuous curved surface extends from one partially ovoid portion through the concave middle section to the other partially ovoid portion. A substantially planar rim may be located at each end above, in front of and to the rear of the partially ovoid portions. A retaining projection on the bottom part may engage an edge of an aperture in the cover part. A label may cover the outer surfaces of the ends. An interface between the cover part and the bottom part may decline, back to front. The front of the cover part may have a lower downwardly convex edge.

  • Patent number: 8991604
Abstract: An egg package formed of a fibrous material includes a bottom part which has egg receiving compartments which at least partially match the outer contours of an egg. A cover part has a top surface, a front surface, a back surface and two end surfaces. The Front side has a generally horizontal upper edge with restraint projections extending forwardly and downwardly from the upper edge for locking engagement with cooperating apertures in the front surface of the cover part. The front surface of the cover adjacent to the bottom part has apertures. The cover part has a plurality of longitudinal recesses extending between the top surface and the front surface of the cover part through each recess and extends from the top surface down beyond the middle of the front surface.

  • Publication number: 20100190020
Abstract: Three-dimensionally shaped packaging product manufacturable by dry forming is provided. Furthermore, an airlaid material and a method of manufacturing a three-dimensionally shaped packaging product are provided. The three-dimensional packagings are prepared from airlaid fluff comprising natural fibres and selected amounts of thermoplastic materials, adhesive and thermosetting resin where the thermoplastic fibres and/or adhesive and/or thermosetting resin during hot pressing with water result in a setting bonding between the fibres. Preferably substantially no thermosetting resin is present in the material The three-dimensional packaging has a very fine surface finish and the manufacturing process requires substantially less energy than the traditional wet method.

  • Patent number: 6419089
Abstract: An improved egg tray is disclosed. The egg tray is comprised of a thin-walled body of rigid fiber pulp material and has a plurality of pockets and a plurality of posts. Each pocket has a bottom surrounded by a plurality of posts and each pocket has an egg-supporting surface for supporting an egg. The egg-supporting surface is a continuous part of a substantially ellipsoidal surface approximating the surface of the pointed part of an egg, and the pockets are within an egg size interval for which the egg tray is intended to be used. The egg-supporting surface has a continuous circular zone and a plurality of lower tongues extending downwardly from the continuous zone. Advantageously, the egg-supporting surface has a plurality of upper tongues extending upwardly on the sides of the posts from the continuous zone.

  • Patent number: 6149772
Abstract: The mutually associated moulding tools, such as a suction mould and an associated pressing-and-depositing mould, neither of which are shown, comprise a baseplate (1) with a modularly divided, rectangular area (2) provided with perforations (3), on which area (2) it is possible to secure, e.g. by means of screws, a number of closely adjacent modular mould parts (A,B) with a rectangular outline, each of the modular mould parts (A,B) serving to produce an article (C,D,E) to be separated from the pulp-material shell having been produced in a subsequent operation. With this arrangement, it is possible to keep the cost of manufacturing the moulding tools and the time required for re-arranging them at such low levels, that even small series of articles (C,D,E) may be manufactured profitably.
