Abstract: An adjustable clothes hanger (1) is provided for use in retaining a variety of sizes/types of clothing using the same hanger. The adjustable clothes hanger (1) having a main hanger body (2) with two arms (3) extending outwards from a central hanging means (4) at identical but opposing angles to the central hanging means (4). Each arm (3) has an extending element (5) pivotably mounted at an end region thereof such that each extending element (5) has a limited pivoting range about each arm (3). Further, first limiting means (7) are provided to prevent each extending element (5) pivoting outwards beyond the angle at which its associated arm (3) extends. Second limiting means are provided to prevent each extending element (5) pivoting inwards beyond the horizontal plane in which the ends of arms (3) lie.

Abstract: An adjustable clothes hanger (1) is provided. The hanger (1) comprises a main body (2) capable of retaining an article of clothing. The main body (2) has at feast two separately positioned engagement means (5). The hanger also has a hanging means (3) that is releasably engageable with any of the engagement means (5). The clothes hanger can adjusted for use with different sizes and/or types of clothing by changing the engagement means (5) used to engage the hanging means (3).
