Abstract: A vibration apparatus and also a motor assembly are provided to enhance vibrational massage therapy and to improve non-impact exercise. In particular, the motor assembly generates vibrations of differing amplitudes utilizing a single motor to drive a shaft that, in turn, rotates an eccentric weight whose rotational axis is non-coaxial with the shaft's rotational axis. The reversal of the direction in which the motor rotates the shaft changes the amplitude of the resulting vibrations communicated to a platform. Thus, vibrational amplitude most suitable for a particular application or purpose may be selected.
Abstract: A speaker system employs a first device and a second device where one of the first device and the second device is a speaker. The first device has a supporting surface, from which a positioning element protrudes and forms a distal end. The positioning element tapers from the supporting surface to a smaller dimension at the distal end. The second device has a cavity receiving the positioning element. In one embodiment, the first device has a first electrical contact positioned adjacent to the positioning element and the second device has a second electrical contact engaging the first electrical contact. In another embodiment, the first and second device are rotationally repositionable relative to one another, and an electrical connection is created between the first device and the second device when the cavity receives the positioning element at more than one relative rotational position between the first device and the second device.
Abstract: A passive noise reduction apparatus has a headset with at least one ear cup attached to the headset, the ear cup having an ear side and a shell side. An inner shell, having a cup side and an outer side, is mounted to and substantially covers the shell side of the ear cup wherein the cup side of the inner shell faces the shell side of the ear cup. An outer shell, having an inner side and a distal side, is mounted to and substantially covers the inner shell, wherein the inner side of the outer shell is in substantially contiguous contact with the outer side of the inner shell.

Abstract: A bottle opener has a holding body that holds the top of the container. The holding body has a support that contacts the container and a gripping member opposite the support. The gripping member moves relative to the support between a released position, in which the gripping member permits the container to be released from the device, and an engaged position, in which the gripping member causes the container to be held between the gripping member and the support. The bottle opener also has an extracting element, such as a corkscrew, operably connected to the holding body which extracts the stopper from the container. The bottle opener has an integrated cutter positioned on at least one of the support and the gripping member, the cutter being adapted to cut the wrapper.
Abstract: An audio system includes a housing which has at least one port, at least one speaker driver with a diaphragm located in the housing, a tube made of one or more thermally conductive materials and having at least two openings, and at least one electronic component which is thermally coupled to the tube. The tube is at least partially located in the housing with one of the openings of the tube at least adjacent to the port of the housing. Movement of the diaphragm helps move air into and out of the tube to dissipate heat.
Abstract: A substantially waterproof player presents content stored on an electronic storage device. The player has a body with a recess that houses the storage device and a closeable opening to permit access to the recess. A door is connected to the body and moves between an open position allowing access to the recess from outside the body and a closed position covering the opening. A docking piece in the recess holds the storage device, and moves between a receiving position for receiving and removing the storage device and a housed position for holding the storage device. The docking piece moves into the receiving position when the door moves into the open position. The docking piece moves into the housed position when the door is moved into the closed position. An input device in the recess receives the content from the storage device.
Abstract: A foldable massaging bed cushion for supporting a person in a sitting position has a backrest with two side edges, two armrests rotatably coupled to the backrest, and one or more massaging units within the backrest. The two armrests can rotate from a sitting position to a folded position along the two side edges of the backrest. The foldable massaging bed cushion can also have one or more heating units and one more massaging units located within the backrest and a control panel to control the massaging units and heating units.
