  • Patent number: 7320603
Abstract: The ink jet head is provided with a piezo-electric sheet having a plurality of contacts distributed on a surface thereof. A flat connector is fixed so as to cover the surface of the piezo-electric sheet. A plurality of conductive spots and a plurality of conductive lines are formed on a surface of the flat connector. One of each of the conductive lines is connected with one of each of the conductive spots, and the plurality of conductive spots is disposed with the same distributive pattern as the plurality of contacts. The flat connector is provided with a sheet formed of an insulating material, and is provided with a plurality of projections corresponding to the conductive spots. At least a distal end of each of the projections is covered with one of the conductive spots. The flat connector and the piezo-electric sheet are fixed such that the conductive spots make contact with the contacts of the piezo-electric sheet.

  • Patent number: 6285792
Abstract: An image retrieval device including: an image retrieval unit for optically retrieving an image and outputting an analog image signal according to the image; an analog-to-digital conversion unit for converting the image signal from the image retrieval unit into multi-valued data for a number of pixels representing the image; and a pixel number conversion unit for reducing the number of pixels in the multi-valued data from the analog-to-digital converter by combining multi-valued data for predetermined pluralities of the number of pixels into multi-valued data for single pixels.

  • Patent number: 6223664
Abstract: In a buttonhole sewing machine, a sewing mechanism and a feed bracket are controlled to form a buttonhole defined by settings, such as zigzag stitch length, zigzag pitch, bar-tack length, bar-tack pitch, and cutter space. The buttonhole can be set on the operation panel and changed to various shapes by changing the above settings. In particular, the left and right zigzag stitch widths can be set differently, and the front and rear bar-tack lengths can be also set differently. Thus, the balance of the buttonhole can be finely adjusted.

  • Patent number: 5981944
Abstract: An optical scanner reduces the effects of external electrical noise and disturbing light that leaks therein during an image read operation. Light beams emitted by a plurality of light sources are synthesized so as to travel along a common optical path, the synthesized light beams are deflected by a polygonal rotating mirror and condensed. The condensed light beams fall on a beam splitting device. One of the light beams is projected on the image forming surface of a photosensitive member for image recording, another light beam scans the image surface of a document, and light scattered by the light reflecting from the image surface of the document is detected by photoelectric devices. The light beam projected on the document is modulated by a modulator in accordance with a fixed frequency, and signals provided by the photoelectric devices are demodulated by a demodulator.
