    Abstract: A novel ice cream product container with complementary closure member is disclosed. The container body member is usually of paperboard and formed from an integral blank comprising edge-reinforcing flaps articulated to wall members, which reinforcing flaps are then folded down upon and secured to their respective wall members to provide a reinforced portion of double thickness in the container formed from the blank. This folded-over, reinforced portion is also present in the flat-folded tube produced from the blank, the squared-up tube, the erected container, and finally in the closed and filled package. This folded-over, reinforced portion of double thickness contains defined areas of low resistance adapted to receive lugs formed in a wall of the complementary closure member. The closure member also provides a complementary channel between essentially upstanding and downstanding walls for receiving the reinforced portion of the container walls in frictional engagement therewith.

    Abstract: A carton having structure for locking the cover thereof in place after the seal has been broken, carton blanks for the production thereof, and an end closure for such a carton are disclosed. The lock structure comprises two elements, the first a centrally-located lock flap articulated along its one edge to the upper edge of the carton front face panel and separated by a cut from the second lock flap, which is secured on the inner surface of the cover front panel, said second lock flap comprising two surrounding webs which are, in the carton blank and in the originally sealed carton, attached along lines of severance to the upper edge of the carton front face panel and which become detached along said severance lines during opening of the originally sealed carton.

    Abstract: A flared tube sitting on a base is embedded in a concrete slab, and a casement on a shackle can be inserted into the tube to make up the coupling. The casement holds a plunger which can be locked into a position in which its head urges balls out of the casement for engagement with the flare tube. The plunger lock includes a fork locking the casement to the plunger at the other end. The plunger head has a conical tip so that upon retraction the balls can be retracted to release the coupling or to insert the casement to make up the coupling. The flared tube is clamped down onto the base which in turn is constructed for fastening to re-bar structure in the concrete.

    Abstract: An animal litter is prepared by de-watering rejects of a secondary fiber plant, incorporating a deodorant therein, for example, sodium bicarbonate, pelletizing, and drying. The rejects on a dry basis consist essentially of about 50 percent to about 90 percent cellulose and from about 10 percent to about 50 percent fiber making mineral filler, usually kaolin, and sodium bicarbonate is incorporated therein in the amount of between about 1 percent to about 10 percent on the dry basis. Paper broke may also be incorporated.

Weld-assisting protrusions on the base and the end portion hold the lag stud and are welded thereto.     Abstract: The invention relates to filter cups adapted for use in Melitta style coffee makers made of a unitary sheet of filter paper having integral fluted sides flaring outwardly from a stationary bottom and to a method and apparatus for making the same. The apparatus comprises complementary die members adapted to cut and flute the filter discs having central apertures, one of which is affixed to a heating and drying tube having the same diameter as the aperture. A plunger having a stretching head is passed through the other aperture to push the cut and formed filter discs into the heating and drying tube and at the same time to stretch the central portion to form a dish-shaped bottom having integral fluted sides flaring outwardly therefrom.
