Abstract: A movable basketball goal has a base and first and second support members extending up from the base. Each of the first and second support members comprises two separate elements, one of which is pivotally attached to the base. The other elements are pivotally attached together at their upper ends. A backboard support member extends from the upper ends of the support members, and a backboard and a goal basket are mounted on it. The two elements of each support member are movable relative to one another, to enable the goal to be collapsed to a compact configuration. Further, the goal basket can be movable relative to the backboard. The two elements of the first, forward support member can be separable from one another, while the two elements of the second, rear support member can be pivotally connected to one another.
