Abstract: A dishwasher, the program control of which permits the installation of the program control module in the dishwasher, a subsequent programming of the program control and a change to the rinse program sequence pre-programmed in the program control. An electronic program control for the control of rinsing program sequences is provided with a programmable control module and includes an interface, for the external programming of at least one rinsing program sequence, carried out by the program control, which may be directly contacted from outside the dishwasher. By integrating an interface that may be directly contacted from outside the dishwasher, for the external programming of rinsing program sequences in the control module of the program control, the program control can be installed in the dishwasher without pre-programming and programmed in a final step, or after the production of the dishwasher.

Abstract: In a method for producing a porous SiO2-xerogel starting solution containing a silicon compound is provided and organic monomers and an organically modified alkoxysilane are added to the starting solution. During gelification of the silicon compound, the organic monomers and the organically modified alkoxysilane react in situ to form organic solid skeletal supports in the silicon network. The resulting gel is dried under subcritical conditions and the solid skeletal supports removed by thermal oxidation.

Abstract: A dishwasher includes a washing container, and an upper basket located in an upper region of the washing container for accommodating items to be washed. The upper basket has a floor wall and a side wall that circumferentially bounds the floor wall and projects upward. The upper basket has a static first partial region and a second partial region that is movable relative to the first partial region between at least two positions, with the second partial region forming in the at least two positions at least one section of the floor wall. The section assumes different heights relative to a part of the floor wall of the first partial region in the at least two positions, wherein the section assumes for at least one of the at least two positions a height above a height of the part of the floor wall of the first partial region.

Abstract: A refrigerating device is provided that includes an evaporator and a compartment that is cooled by air circulating air from and to the evaporator, wherein a diffusion layer can be displaced between a first position, in which air passage openings distributed in a wall separating the compartment from a distribution chamber are covered by the diffusion layer, and a second position, in which the diffusion layer is positioned so as to allow air to flow from the evaporator through the distribution chamber into the compartment while bypassing the diffusion layer.

Abstract: A built-in home appliance includes a rear leg group having a nut and a leg rod which advances on the nut in a vertical direction while the leg rod rotates, an adjustment shaft which rotates the leg rod of the rear leg group and extends with substantial rigidity. Abstract: A coffee machine comprising an instantaneous electric heater for heating water, which is transported from a storage tank and conducted under pressure after the heating process into a brewing chamber to prepare the coffee, said chamber comprising an outlet nozzle for discharging the prepared coffee. The machine also comprises at least one sensor for recording an electric measured value that correlates to the temperature of the heated water and a control system for controlling the pump output of the pump and/or the heating output of the instantaneous heater in accordance with the measured value. The device permits a blockage of the nozzle to be identified and safely removed. The control system shuts off the pump output and/or the heating output if the measured value exceeds predefined thresholds and blocks a restart of the pump output and/or heating output for a specified blocking period by activating blocking elements.

The power electronics arrangement includes several power supply units, which each supply heating currents to one or more heating elements, and a switch arrangement with several electromechanical relays for connecting/disconnecting the power supply units to/from the heating elements. Output poles of at least two electromechanical relays associated with different power supply units are connected in parallel, wherein the parallel connection is permanently connected to at least one of the heating elements. This arrangement reduces the number of switching processes required for alternating use of a power supply device with several heating elements, and simplifies compliance with electromagnetic compatibility standards.
