Abstract: A gas cooktop includes a cooktop body having a burner head which when activated generates a fire for heating cookware placed on the burner head, and a control system which includes a fire detection apparatus installed over the burner head and is aligned with the burner head. The control system further includes a control apparatus receiving a signal of the fire detection apparatus to control the fire of the burner head. The control apparatus determines, depending on whether the fire detection apparatus detects the fire of the burner head, whether cookware is placed on the burner head. By using such a gas cooktop including the control system, the gas cooktop automatically adjusts the fire to a minimum after a user removes a cookware, thus reducing fume in a kitchen and reducing gas consumption.

Abstract: Household appliances may include partially reflective (e.g., one-way mirror) glass as part of an oven door. The partially reflective glass may transmit light from an interior of the household appliance and may reflect light from outside the household appliance. Accordingly, one can see into the lighted interior but a camera inside the interior cannot see out through the door. In some examples, the household appliance includes a lamp and a camera disposed within the cavity of the appliance. The lamp and the camera are interlocked to protect user privacy by activating the one-way feature of the door glass as needed.

Abstract: A domestic kitchen appliance is provided. The domestic kitchen appliance includes a peltier device having a hot side and a cold side; a hot-side heat-sink attached to the hot side of the peltier device, the hot-side heat-sink configured to remove heat from the hot side of the peltier device and transfer the heat removed from the hot side of the peltier device to a cooking chamber; a cold-side heat-sink attached to the cold side of the peltier device, the cold-side heat-sink fluidly connected to an area to be cooled; and a voltage supply that supplies voltage to the peltier device to cause the peltier device to absorb heat from the cold-side heat-sink into the cold side of the peltier device and to expel heat from the hot side of the peltier device into the hot-side heat-sink. The area to be cooled is outside of the cooking chamber.

Abstract: A removable control panel console for a cooking appliance may include a front panel having upper fingers that hook onto apertures in a bullnose feature of the appliance. The control panel console is pivotable in this configuration, and may be secured to the appliance by raising the front panel to fully insert the fingers into the apertures and fastening a bottom wall of the control panel to the appliance. Side walls of the control panel console may include tabs that are received into corresponding slots in a front surface of the appliance, providing an additional alignment and security feature.

Abstract: A shelf support bracket system for a transparent refrigerator shelf of a refrigerator, including: an unfinished metal, load-bearing support bracket having mounting hooks at one end for mounting to an inside wall of the refrigerator; and a decorative cover sleeve slidably disposed over the unfinished metal, load-bearing support bracket so as to cover a substantial portion thereof. The spray arm is actively driven by a drive system and mounted on the pump pot for rotation about an axis of rotation. The spray arm has a rib geometry that revolves around the axis of rotation and includes an encoding groove running along the axis of rotation. The pump pot includes an encoding rib running along the axis of rotation and corresponding to the encoding groove. The encoding rib is configured for passage through the encoding groove along the axis of rotation during assembly and disassembly of the spray arm so as to enable the spray arm to be assembled on and disassembled from the pump pot in precisely one angular position.
