Abstract: An auxiliary tool for holding a rotatable fastener in engaged relation with a driving tool until the fastener can be started into the work is versatile and can be used with many different kinds of driving tools. In use, the present tool is secured magnetically to a ferrous metal portion of the driving tool. Spring rods on the tool can be separated and engaged with a fastener to hold the fastener therebetween and in engagement with the driving portion of the driving tool. Once the fastener is well started into the work, the present tool can be quickly and easily removed to permit the driving tool to be used alone.

Abstract: A tool attachment for holding a fastener to a driver therefor comprises a magnetic holding assembly to which are attached spring fingers for grasping a fastener. The construction of the magnetic holding assembly provides for attachment of the device to elongated shafts of various shapes and sizes. The magnetic holding assembly is particularly characterized by an elongated, centrally-disposed pole piece which extends in the same direction as the axis of rotation of the shaft of the driver tool, when the attachment is in place. Magnets are attached to opposite sides of the pole piece in like-pole to like-pole relation, and the holding force so provided is quite high.

Abstract: A drawing template for forming relatively large alphanumeric characters is comprised of a thin substrate in which a plurality of both linear and non-linear slots are formed. Lines drawn through selected ones of the slots form an outline of a desired character.
