Abstract: A data managing device for connection to a diagnostic instrument, having an outer casing which is sealed to prevent the entry of foreign substances. The data managing device includes a controller for controlling the operation of the data managing device, a casing for housing of the controller, a display in communication with the controller and sealed with respect to the casing, a user input coupled to the controller and sealed with respect to the casing, and a communications interface in communication with the controller for communication with the diagnostic instrument. The controller is configured to control the diagnostic instrument by communicating specific protocols to the diagnostic instrument. The display and user input may be a touchscreen.
