Patent number: 5946389Abstract: In buildings, structured cabling is frequently installed, in which outlet boxes are connected in a star-like pattern to a central distribution panel. So that a service-neutral cabling of this kind can be used for the connection of an ISDN bus, a bus panel is added to the distribution panel, and bridge adapters are inserted in the outlet boxes. The bus line is conducted from the bus panel over half of the wires of the cable to the outlet jacks and are returned via the bridge adapters and the other half of the wires of the cable back to the bus panel. In this way, the bus line can be looped in series from one outlet box to the next.Type: GrantFiled: July 7, 1997Date of Patent: August 31, 1999Assignee: BTR Blumberger Telefon-und Relaisbau Albert MetzInventor: Roland Dold

Patent number: 5775956Abstract: A distribution panel, especially for data transmission networks, is described with a shaped rail, with jacks attached to the shaped rail, the plug receptacles of the jacks being arranged on the front next to one another, and with mounting tabs for cables guided along the rear to the jacks. The shaped rail has a receiving groove along its rear longitudinal edge. A support extending essentially over the entire length of the shaped rail can thus be inserted into this groove and attached to the shaped rail in such a way that the top surface of the support plate is in a plane essentially parallel to the shaped rail. The support plate has mounting tabs for the cables.Type: GrantFiled: December 2, 1996Date of Patent: July 7, 1998Assignee: BTR Blumberger Telefon-Und Relaisbau Albert MetzInventors: Rolf Sticker, Karl Muller, Dieter Jaag

Patent number: 5447441Abstract: Connector box for shielded cables comprising upper and lower base parts and a printed board held between the upper and lower base parts. There is at least one jack and a terminal connector mounted on the printed board are conductively connected to each other by way of the printed board. The connector box is characterized in that the lower base part and upper base part form a housing and are die cast metal parts, and wherein the upper base part is seated by its peripheral edge on the lower base part in an electrically conductive manner. The housing encloses and shields at least the jack and a portion of the printed board. A structure is provided for holding the shielding of a cable on one of the base parts in electrically conductive contact therewith.Type: GrantFiled: October 12, 1993Date of Patent: September 5, 1995Assignee: BTR Blumberger Telefon-und Relaisbau Albert MetzInventors: Karl Mueller, Dieter Jaag
