  • Patent number: 4674262
Abstract: A device for temporarily holding containers on a feed connection piece includes a plurality of expanding segments surrounding the connecting piece and being held in position thereon by a resilient sleeve. Lower parts of respective segments extend over a lower edge on the connecting piece and are tilted by levers attached to a top edge of respective segments so as to expand the elastic sleeve into engagement with an inner surface of a container. The expanding segments are returned into their rest position by the resilient constricting force of the sleeve.

  • Patent number: 4599017
Abstract: A plurality of receiving stations is automatically and pneumatically charged by a pulverized or granular material fed at a relatively low rate through a main conveying pipe into a plurality of series connected intermediate containers. Each intermediate container is connected with a substantially horizontally directed branch conduit which is provided with downwardly directed discharge or sink pipes opening into a preliminary storage hopper of a corresponding receiving station. Each branch conduit is connected via unidirectional valves or via throttles with an auxiliary pneumatic line which when the end of the sink pipe is open, fluidizes the material in the branch conduit and simultaneously discharges it into the preliminary hopper. As soon as the level of charge in the hopper reaches the open end of the sink pipe, the fluidization is interrupted and the loose material from the intermediate container plugs the branch conduit.

  • Patent number: 4449863
Abstract: A pipe switch of the type having a stationary cylindrical housing enclosing a rotary cylindrical plug. The housing has a feeding connection for receiving pulverized or granular material and juxtaposed two discharging connections. The plug is formed with two diametral channels extending side-by-side so that in respective switching positions of the plug one of the channels connects the feeding connection to one of the discharging connections. The outlets and the inlets of the channels are surrounded by continuous sealing straps in such a manner that the distance in circumferential direction from the sealing strap and the adjoining side of the inlet or outlet openings is larger than the breadth of the inlet or outlet openings so that the sealing straps do not cross the edges of the mouth of the feeding and discharging connection pieces in the housing.

  • Patent number: 4400268
Abstract: An arrangement for piling a bulky material of different grain sizes has one central and two lateral passages, a guiding element located upstream of the passages and arranged to guide a flow of a bulky material toward the lateral passages, and grate elements located between the guiding element and a respective one of the passages and arranged so that the fine portion of the material passes through each of the grate elements into a respective one of the lateral passages, whereas the coarse grain portion of the material is guided over the grate elements so as to pass into the central passage.

  • Patent number: 4288318
Abstract: A device for separating multi-fraction particulate materials includes a housing with an inner passage for admitting the material to be processed and an outer passage having an outlet and connected to a suction device for producing an air stream in an upward direction. A guide body with a conical surface and a shoulder having an edge are mounted in the housing. The second passage has in the region below the shoulder a zig-zag shaped passage portion. The incoming stream of mixture falls on the conical surface, then on the edge of the shoulder and then is discharged into the zig-zag shaped portion so that when suction is applied to the outlet of the outer passage the material undergoes repeated directional changes during each of which the air stream travels transversely through the material.

  • Patent number: 4276158
Abstract: The exchangeable planar screen includes a screen frame having an open lateral wall and a collecting floor and, above the floor, a meshed fabric; a duct unit assembled of at least two separate and intersecting channels adjoins the open wall of the frame whereby one channel is flush with the collecting floor and the other channel has a funnel-like inlet section adjoining the edge of the fabric and is directed perpendicularly relative to the one channel.

  • Patent number: 4194445
Abstract: A grain husker has two decorticating rollers which are accommodated in a housing, one of the rollers being rotatable about a stationary axis, while the other roller is mounted on a carrier which, in turn, is mounted on the housing for pivoting relative thereto in such a manner that the movable roller moves with the carrier closer and farther away from the stationary axis of the first-mentioned roller. A drive for the rollers includes a motor, a driving pulley mounted on the output shaft of the motor, and idler pulley and a driven pulley of the movable roller, all of these components being also mounted on the carrier for displacement therewith, the drive further including a driven pulley of the stationarily mounted roller and an endless element which is trained about all of the above-mentioned pulleys.

  • Patent number: 4179363
Abstract: A separating apparatus has a frame comprised of a stationary lower frame and a tiltable upper frame. A pair of longitudinally independently displaceable tables are spring-biased into respective central positions on the frame and are each displaceable in either longitudinal direction from these central positions. A drive assembly comprises an electric motor operatively connected to a crank pin that is rotated so as to move longitudinally relative to the frame. A link is connected between this crank pin on the front table and the rear table so that the two tables are moved oppositely longitudinally relative to each other when the motor operates. A stabilizer including a two-arm lever pivoted on the frame and having a pair of arms each connected via a respective stabilizing link to a respective table may be provided in the arrangement in order to insure that the strokes of the two tables remain at a fixed ratio to each other.

  • Patent number: 4101083
Abstract: A housing for roll stands for grinding cereals or similar material comprises a support structure including a pair of rectangular transversely spaced vertical frames connected to each other at the lower bars thereof by transverse bars serving as support plates for bearing blocks of the roll stands. Transverse vertical plates adjacent to the transverse bars extend also parallel to the latter transversely between the frames to partly enclose a space in which a grinding operation is to be performed. The transverse vertical plates are formed with cutouts open toward one of the frames. Walls connected to the frames further enclose the aforementioned space and the walls on the one frame are releasably connected or hinged thereto for clearing the opening defined by the one frame, so that a roll stand may be pushed in or removed from the support structure through the thus cleared opening in the one frame.
