Abstract: A door closer includes: a cylinder secured on a door frame and having a cylinder head formed on a proximal end of the cylinder; a main value and a check valve respectively formed on the cylinder head to control the air in-and-out volume through the valves for lightly opening the door; a piston secured to a rod member slidably reciprocating within the cylinder with the rod member secured to a door; a restoring spring secured between the cylinder head and the rod member for normally resiliently restoring the rod member and the piston towards the cylinder head in order to close the door to the door frame normally as restored by the restoring spring; and at least a buffer member secured between the cylinder head and the piston so as to dampen the inertia force of the closing door to eliminate the noise or damage thus possibly caused.

Abstract: A power transfer unit is disclosed. In a first implementation of the disclosed power transfer unit, a tubular assembly of the power transfer unit includes an encapsulated elbow hinge design with a reduced profile that permits substantially off-center installation of the housings of the power transfer unit. In a second implementation of the disclosed power transfer unit, the tubular assembly includes an inverted, telescoping tubing design that does not come apart during installation and use, and in some implementations may act as a stop for a closable member.

Abstract: A mounting jig assembly for mounting a door handle to a door having a main door bore includes a drill jig constructed and arranged for placement on the door over the main door bore and having at least one mounting hole, wherein the drill jig is constructed and arranged for engaging a door latch at more than one location.

Abstract: Latch assembly of a keeper structure and a latch structure has a frame a frame recess, a guide pin received in said frame recess for oscillating rotation, the guide pin having a handle tab for rotating the guide pin and a dog projecting from said guide pin. A latch tongue is slidably mounted in a latch tongue guide and has a tongue dog cooperating structure for advancing and retracting the latch tongue responsive to rotation of the dog on the guide pin. The guide pin is spring biased to project the latch tongue toward the latch structure. The dog cooperating structure and dog are relatively proportioned to permit rearward movement of the latch tongue without commensurately moving the handle tab upon displacing engagement of the keeper structure and the latch tongue but to move the handle tab and latch tongue together in forward movement of the latch tongue into keeper structure latching engagement.

Abstract: A flush bolt includes a bolt head and a strike. The bolt head moves out of the flush bolt in response to movement of the strike into the flush bolt, through a movable cam surface in the flush bolt. The bolt head is withdrawn towards the flush bolt when the strike is released.

Abstract: A sliding door has a latch assembly and a vertically disposed pull handle that would normally interfere with convenient operation of the latch lever. A rotatable latch lever is located beyond the handle and a rotatable latch is located opposite the handle. A 4-bar coupling extends between the lever and the latch so that the latch is conveniently rotatable from beyond the pull handle for engaging a cooperating keeper.

Abstract: A push/pull door latch assembly for use in a door includes a handle assembly and a latch cylinder. The handle assembly has a stop configured for limiting the movement of the handle during the push or pull operation, and absorbing shock transmitted from a user's hand through the handle and a cam assembly that operates in response to the push or pull operation of the handle. The cam assembly operates the latch so as to unlock the door when the handle is pushed or pulled.

A series of latch pins mates with an opposing series of cammed apertures that engage the pins when relatively shifted by a single turn of one actuator.
