Abstract: A system for monitoring a characteristic of a product in a testing process. An information storage device stores information relating to the product. A writing mechanism is used for writing the information to the information storage device. A reading mechanism reads the information and stores information in a database. A testing system performs a test on the product to produce a test result. The test result is stored in the database so that the test result is associated with the information, whereafter the associated information and test result stored enable monitoring of the characteristic of the product.
