    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a security and/or valuable document containing a polymer layer composite or consisting thereof, said polymer layer composite being formed from a polymer layer partial composite and a polymer cover layer and the polymer layer partial composite and/or the polymer cover layer containing a laser sensitive component, consisting of the followings steps: A) first personalized information is applied to the polymer layer partial composite by means of an inkjet printing method as a colored inkjet printed layer, B) the polymer cover layer is applied to the inkjet printed layer and is joined to the polymer layer partial composite by thermal lamination, and C) second personalized information is inscribed into the polymer layer composite of the security and/or valuable document, obtained in step B), by means of laser engraving.
