Abstract: A rotary cutter deck unit is disclosed that has an overall dual-deck configuration. Upper and lower deck plates do not engage each other at any location, but the deck unit includes front and rear end spacers, at least one of which has a plurality of bends, and two of which are secured to the upper deck plate to form a box-like weldment. The lower deck plate is secured to this spacer at an intermediate location.
Abstract: A foliage mower and height adjustment assembly for a foliage mower are provided. This is a foot-operated adjustment assembly which has a plurality of pivot lugs from which a cutter deck assembly is suspended. Each pivot lug pivots in unison in order to thereby raise or lower the cutter deck. Movement of a foot pedal raises the cutter deck to a transport height, at which the foot pedal is latched in place and the deck height is maintained. A stop mechanism has an adjustable component by which the extent of downward movement of the suspended cutter deck is selected upon release of the latched foot pedal.
Abstract: A mounting system is provided by which front end loaders of the mid-mount type are rapidly attached and detached from a tractor or other piece of motive equipment. A procedure for latching and unlatching is also provided, as well as mid-mount front end loaders having a quick attach and quick detach mounting system. A universal mounting bracket assembly is included which can be used on either the right side or the left side and can be used with a variety of front end loader models. A clamp secures together a support, a pedestal pin of the support, and the universal mounting bracket assembly in order to achieve the quick connect of the mid-mount loader onto the tractor.
Abstract: A foliage mowing apparatus and mowing reel assemblies include a plurality of helically shaped blades which are mounted circumferentially with respect to each other. Each blade has a chevron-type junction or apex lying within a radially extending plain which is transverse to the longitudinal axis of the reel. Apexes of adjacent blades do not lie along the same radial plane. Instead, each apex is axially spaced from each of its adjacent apexes. With this structure, if a piece or blade of grass passes uncut through an apex area, a straight blade section follows immediately in order to cut or trim this piece or blade of grass.
