Abstract: A muscle anti-clenching training device comprising a flexible device body conformable in a range of configurations upon a user’s body, and including: a skin-contact side and a top cover side; electrical contacts mounted in the flexible device body and exposed upon the skin-contact side; an adhesive upon the skin-contact side; an alert device mounted in the flexible device body; sensing circuitry electrically connected to the electrical contacts and structured to monitor an electrical property in a user’s body; and an electronic controller coupled to the sensing circuitry and structured to activate the alert device to produce an alert signal where the monitored electrical property is indicative of a muscular contraction.

  • Publication number: 20220361692
Abstract: Therapeutic cushions having a plurality of inflatable columnar cells, pumping mechanism, and a manifold or valve system for moving a fluid between the pumping mechanism and the inflatable columnar cells. The inflatable columnar cells are constructed such that inflation and deflation of the cells cause vertical expansion/contraction of the cells with limited lateral expansion/contraction. The manifold or the valve system connect the pumping mechanism with the inflatable columnar cells such that a plurality of zones are created. A valve assembly can include a plurality of valves and is adjustable among at least three valve configurations to vary fluid connections to the inflatable columnar cells to produce rearwardly advancing waves. A venting manifold may vent air from the cells between the cushions.

  • Publication number: 20220296000
Abstract: A seat cushion includes a plurality of inflatable cells, a pumping mechanism, and a manifold or valve system fluidly between the pumping mechanism and the inflatable cells. The manifold or the valve system, which may include a clutch and a motor, connect the pumping mechanism with the inflatable cells such that a plurality of zones are created. A valve assembly can include a plurality of valves and is adjustable among at least three valve configurations to vary fluid connections to the inflatable cells to produce rearwardly advancing waves. The pumping action produced by the inflation and deflation of the inflatable cells assists in pumping blood in a user's legs back toward the heart.
