  • Publication number: 20120203346
Abstract: An implant contains two end pieces disposed coaxially and at an axial distance, a cage, which connects the end pieces, and webs connecting the two end pieces. The two ends of each web are offset from each other by an equal initial angle in an initial state of the implant. The implant can be expanded by rotation of the end pieces in opposite directions about the center longitudinal axis. A tool for the implant has a handle and a main element with a receptacle for the implant and with two rotating devices, which act with a force fit on engaging elements of the implant and can be rotated oppositely in relation to each other.

  • Patent number: 8167598
Abstract: A filling shoe for rotary tablet presses, comprising a filling shoe housing with at least one discharge opening for a starting product which is to be compressed and with a seal for sealing the gap between the die plate and filling shoe housing, which seal can be fastened exchangeably to a bottom wall of the filling shoe housing. In order to make it possible to achieve shorter downtimes when changing the seals, the seal in the mounted state is fastened to the bottom wall by means of magnetic force. Changing the seal can then take place, if appropriate even without any further aids, by overcoming the magnetic holding force and replacing the seal with a new seal. The invention also relates to the seal for sealing the gap, which seal can be fastened according to the invention by means of magnetic elements.

  • Patent number: 7637667
Abstract: A bearing assembly is provided that enables the bearing assembly to be press fit onto a steering shaft and/or within a shaft housing without excessive stress on the bearing races and without affecting bearing clearance or torque requirements while also tolerating angular misalignment between the shaft and housing. The assembly includes unbroken inner and outer races with ball bearings disposed therebetween. A housing assembly includes a radially extending wall on one side of the outer race and a deformable axially extending wall. A elastomeric isolator also includes a radially extending wall and a deformable axially extending wall that are disposed between the outer race and the corresponding walls of the bearing assembly housing. A washer is disposed on an opposite side of outer race and is disposed between radially inwardly extending lips formed by deformation of the axially extending walls of the isolator and housing.

  • Patent number: 6050798
Abstract: A rotary tablet press has a rotating mold table and top and bottom plungers, which can move reciprocally in plunger guides, coaxially with the molds. The reciprocating motion of at least the bottom plungers is cam-controlled and these plungers are acted upon by a damping element to prevent an overshoot of their movement. To ensure an action which is as free from wear and is as maintenance-free as possible whilst maintaining constant damping of the bottom plungers, it is proposed according to the invention that the damping element consists of at least one magnetic element which acts on the plungers.

  • Patent number: 4452579
Abstract: An apparatus for producing tablets from particulate material having a weight between preselected weight limits wherein a metered quantity of particulate material is compressed in a die to form a tablet having a preset thickness. The final compression pressure is measured and compared to preselected pressure limits. The metered quantity is adjusted if the measured pressure is outside the pressure limits. At selected time intervals, the tablets are weighed and if the tablet weight is outside the preselected weight limits, the pressure limits and/or the preset thickness is adjusted to bring the tablet weight within the weight limits.
