Abstract: A system and method of notifying a specified destination of a completed electronic transaction. The system includes an authorization center and a transaction notification system. A purchaser conducts an electronic transaction, such as a credit card transaction, with a merchant. The merchant queries the authorization center to determine if the transaction is authorized. The authorization center then determines if the transaction is authorized. Upon determining if the transaction is authorized, the authorization center sends an authorization message to the merchant. In addition, the authorization center sends a message to the transaction notification system. The transaction notification system generates a transaction message from the received message and sends the transaction message to one or more specified destinations. The destinations may include an email message sent to an email account, a voice message to a communication device, or a text message to a communication device.
