    Abstract: An anode carrier for a deep well having a carbonaceous backfill which is used for the cathodic protection of underground metallic structures. The carrier includes an elongated electrically non-conducting tubular member having one or more apertures or windows and each of such windows is adapted to receive a platinized anode to which an impressed DC current is applied.
