    Abstract: A hammer having a hollow cylindrical head filled with recoil inhibiting pellets such as lead shot, and having its ends closed by metallic end caps each having an exterior impact surface. A handle-forming skeletal rod is centrally connected to the head, and said head and rod are encased within a unitary resilient encasement leaving the two impact surfaces exposed.
